I've read that the istick will go up to 10 volts, however mine will not go past 3.8 . I've got a .03 ohm coil add I've mentioned in previous posts. And the led display keeps switching from.03 to.04 ohms and the voltage keeps changing. I've already determined this is a counterfeit mod and my dealer is replacing it tomorrow. I was just wondering if this problem I'm having is because it's s fake unit or if it's defective or if this is normal?

Something doesn't sound right. At .03 ohm, on 3.8 v, you'd be pushing 127 amps, so 481.3 watts. Did you mean a 0.3 ohm? That seems much more reasonable. Same calculations, would be 12.7 amps, 48.13 watts.
Yes that's what i meant. Autocorrect changed it. I'm glad one of us knows what's going on.. Lol. Thanks

Output voltage will change as resistance changes.

Dont worry about the voltage, your using a variable wattage mod. 50w to a .3 ohm coil is gonna be pretty close to 3.8v.
want more volts, raise the ohms.
Thank you.
I've got much to learn. This is all new and very confusing to me but i really get into this stuff and all the gadgetry lol. Live my toys.
Again thanks for your input.

Ok, atty is short for atomizer. And coils are coils, whether built by hand, or from a package. There are actually a lot of different ways to build the coils if you're doing it yourself. Anyways, I have an Aspire tank myself, and use the Triton coils. I can tell you that from my experience, those coils can be good from 25 to 55 Watts, depending on personal preference, and the juice you are using. You want to start on the low end, because it's easy to burn the coils if you start too high, and Aspire coils seem to "break in" and just want to start low for some reason.

If you do get leaks, closing the top airflow holes can help. Happy vaping!

Thanks for the information, your very helpful and appreciate you taking the time to explain this to me. I'm having trouble finding my sweet spot, so i keep trying new settings. Not exactly sure what's more important to me. Bigger clouds our better flavor? I guess I'm looking for a little of both.

No problems, we were all new once, and I appreciated the people that helped me as I was learning. Who am I kidding, I'm still learning. :) Playing with things is definitely also a great way to figure out what you like and don't like. I actually sought out clouds chase info for a while because I wanted more flavor, and ended up figuring out the setup I had then just wasn't delivering enough juice for me too taste anything. As long as you're enjoying the ride, it can be fun to learn even the stuff you won't use yourself.

I'm learning things today that i thought I'd never need to know when i was back in school. Oh how i wish i paid attention.

The stick 50 has an output voltage range of 2v - 10v / 5w - 50, it even says so on the provided link in a previous post above.
Or go to ---> http://www.eleafworld.com/product/detail.php/istick-50w.html .

Besides V & W limits all regulated apv's also have amp limits to prevent over stressing the battery(s).
Eleaf doesn't state the amp limit but I believe it is 12.5ish amps from messing around with the one I had.
The reason it wont go over 3.8v using the .3Ω head is because doing so exceeds the amp limit.
3.8v / .3Ω = 48.13w & 12.66a

A calculator helps. The main math to know is watts = volts x amps, and amps = volts / resistance, so watts = volts * volts / resistance. If you go into mechanical mods there's a lot more to know, but the first thing to focus on is safety, if you haven't read up on it yet, read up on battery safety. This is the one biggest thing everyone vaping should know.

A tube or box with no built in protection circuitry, no way to adjust power besides using different resistance coils, no display screen.
IMO, Not a good / smart thing for someone new to consider without extensive research.
Advanced equipment that can be dangerous in the wrong hands.

Not to sound rude or harsh but, if you're having slight difficulty figuring out a fairly simple regulated APV I'd strongly recommend against considering mechanicals.

My 1st mod was the ego one. I'm assuming that's a mechanical mod,? I use that aS my work mod as it's compact. But i understand what your saying, i personally prefer having more control add being able to see what's going on.
