Hello all,

Been a lurker for some time but just had a problem arise that forced me to seek out some help.

My Istick 60w TC has been functioning brilliantly since I purchased it a few weeks ago, using it the entire time with the melo 2 both in TC and regular VW modes, trying out all the different coils, etc.

The batteries I have been using range from LG 3000 mAh 20a to sony vtc4 2100 mAh.

Also I have been noticing a constant shifting of ohms readings, which I am unsure if this is normal, but usually nothing substantial, going up or down by .01-.03 here or there in TC with the .5 TI coils, if this should have been an indicator of what was to happen then I had no idea.

Well today after not hitting it for about 10 mins (with the LG 3000 mAh 20a battery, and Ti .5ohm coil) I hit the fire button and had no result, I looked at the reading and it was going all over the place, all the way up to .8, and upon removing the melo 2 it would stay at .8 and not give the usual "no atomizer" message.

So as of now it is not detecting any atomizer, stays at .8 ohms with or without anything attached, wont fire when attached which I am currently not even attempting any fires due to inherent possibilities of danger. So my questions are, what did I do, what can i do, and is there anything I could have done?

I am unsure if I caused this, if the battery fried the chip or if the connector in the 510 thread somehow loosened? Is there any kind of repair I can undergo since it appears like there is absolutely nothing I can do in terms of warranty returns or repairs since I did not purchase the device directly from eleaf and it appears as though I will have to purchase another device which simply sucks to be honest.

Any help you guys can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: Mods please move to VV/VW discussion when you see this, did not see the other subforum when I posted this, Thank you!

my guess: you've got basically a short in the mod;
my guess is the centerpin insulator is damaged and the centerpin is touching/barelytouching the side and shorting out.

it's the kind of problem one gets with fixed centerpin things like on common ego batteries with very thin centerpin insulator.

I have done a few things to tweak my device to see if I could get it working again and something I wanted to note was that I began pushing in the negative connector pin that is within the battery enclosure and it went back to displaying "no atomized detected" for a few moments then the ohms readings went back to going all over the place again.

So I guess I would like to rephrase my question here to if anyone believes me or my battery could have caused this then what steps should I take to make sure it doesn't happen to my next mod.

I have been unable to find really much of anything that represents a similar problem so it really has me puzzled as to whether it's a manufacturing problem or something I did.
