Here's a link to a thread, I haven't dug to find pics or anything...

That's the iStick Innards. An 18650 wearing a Jetpack. LOL

Warning Will Robison: Since the Battery is Hard-Wired to the Board/Boards, parts or All of the Board is Energized. So be Very Careful Handling the IStick Innards. Poking it with a Dental Pick can Release the Magic Smoke.

Don't Ask Me How I Know This.

Thanks for the suggestions . I might wind up tearing it up. Guess I might bite the bullit. Like ya said stevegmu, disaposable mod. Thanks again guys.

You might as well try to replace the connector. I know I will if mine ever fails. Drop into the big istick thread and ask for tips.

Or just give it to me.

Did mine this morning. It's on a silver one and looks great, pics to follow. The top cap is really nice and only adds 10mm in height. I used the FDV v4 510 it came with a 15mm cap that can be replaced by just unscrewing it from the 510 and the center pin is spring loadded, I need to get a couple of 22mm caps on the way it comes down to asthetics for me and the 15mm is lost under a nauti mini.

Its not for worth the effort when you can just buy a new one for 30 dollars

Maybe...since I'm "newer" here than many...I still calculate vaping equipment prices in "analog" terms.

So $30 = less than 5 packs of analogs. And, for me, after 2 days they would have ended up as butts/ashes in the multiple ashtrays I used to have scattered throughout my house.

Am I understanding this correct? The top cap and fdv510 are just fitted on the istick? There is no soldering or anything to do? If so, where do I purchase?

You'll need a torx T5 screwdriver to remove the screws. The 510 positive and negative wires must be snipped. The 510 pos & neg wires must be desoldered from the board. New wires must then be soldered to the board and then the new FDV positive pin and negative nut. The new top cap would be secured with the stock screws and the FDV could then be installed. If you're comfortable doing that, send me a message.
