Hey man, I was an electronics n00b when I first started building Potato Cannons and I'm still pretty much a n00b when it comes to this. I had to get my wife (who was an electrician in the Navy) to teach me how to use a multimeter and I watched tons of videos on soldering. I'm great mechanically but electricity was, I thought, out of my league.

So now, I'm vaping on my bottom fed USB 5v passthru. I've successfully made the Suckaton and the Pill Fob cartomizer.

Start small and keep trying man.

oh i wish i could start small but can't i'm to ambishus for that lol... it understand whats gotta be done to make it work my whole thing is i realy wanna know why it has to be done that way just so when i am doing it i am sure its gonna work or if i wanna go bigger or smaller i know whats needed for adjustments well just refilled a new Lr carto gonna go put my feet up and its Hello time gonna make some notes while i'm reading this to just to keep me on the right path and don't end up making somthing i don't need. but i do have one question for anyone who can answear it that would be great. Why is it we can make camera's so small they can fit on a Fly's rearend and we can use this advanced technologie to catch our cheating spouce in the act, but we can't make a Lr Carto or Atty to last more then 2-3 day's? i think our priority is out of line and this is a problem well needed to be fixed heck even some of the atty's don't last long enough we need a product thats gonna last atleast 6 months once that happens then you will see more people vapeing.

Best of luck Vp,
I would like to offer you this advice though. Teach yourself to soldier first. There is a great how to thread with links to videos. Soldier a few connections, test them with your multimeter, tug at them to make sure they are secure.
The more complicated your mod is the more vital good soldiering becomes.

this ight come as a shocker but i know how to soldier very well. i used to have a hobby called slot car racing and that involved abit of soldiering and got well at it not worried bout that my biggest fear is not knowing what the individual parts are for capacitors and regulators i figuard if i knew what they were for i could possibly expend into a harder project quicker i am gonna start somewhat basic probly a 6v top feeder just to try then from their somthing else i have in mind wanna keep it a secret till i pull it off don't want anyone stealing my idea is so dang good its gotta work when i get to that point lol but i seen 6v done two ways hard wired battery to switch to atty then i seen battery switch atty LED i a unsure what works best though

Surprised? not much. I based my assumption on
matter of fact i don't know jack when it comes to electrics
But I see now where you are coming from.

I'm not sure what question you're asking here

LED's in mods are simply "bling". Its just a light that turns on when you push the button. They draw a little bit of current, but not enough to make a significant difference in performance. I've made a mod or two with LED's and they look neat, but I just don't bother with them at all anymore. Its a personal choice thing.
LED's are commonly wired in one of two ways. Most common is parallel with the atty after the switch. This way the LED lights up when the the atomizer fires.
The other is in parallel after a master kill switch so that when the master switch is on, the light is on. This is particularly useful if you are using a regulator or mosfet.
After that its mostly varying combination's of those two set ups.
