It Packed a Punch!

I finally got my Apollo Extreme Kit today! I have to say, I'm really pleased with it so far. Other than having a wee panic attack because I'm making the concerted effort to say goodbye to cigarettes forever and realizing that after my first drag on the Apollo using the High strength @ 1.8% knocked me on my ... with the throat hit. I put on a Med...or it could be low (I got them mixed and it's not marked) and it's much better.

I feel great about my new venture! No more dirty ashtrays! I won't be smelly! I never had the yellow fingers because I used Tar Out tips on my cigarettes. No, I don't believe they work, but when you see the tip fill with tar after each cigarette, you get grossed out and fight harder to not smoke as much. This is a tip after two cigarettes.



I've been doing this to my lungs for more than 30 years. Ewwwwwww!

I really feel vaping is something that will work well for me. (knock on wood) Now I will go ahead and shop for my eGo and some eliquid! Vape on!

Totally understand about the Tar Out tips---I used something similar. They were cleanable and they got gross!!!

Congratulations! I've used similar tips like that once. Hated them. They looked disgusting and smelled worse. And yet I kept smoking...

You'll love the eGo. Much better than the Apollo, and pretty much the only thing I used for almost a year -- in fact I only just stopped using mine yesterday after my new toy arrived, and it was still going strong.

Odd... so many different methods that I tried to get off the smokes, so many failures.. With vaping, I simply put the smokes down and started vaping. Haven't looked back and feel great.

I am so stoked that I feel better already! lol I can't wait to see how I feel in a week or two. I know I am going to have to go through some kind of withdrawal and feel yucky from smoking for so many years, but seriously, I felt like crap when I smoked! See that, I'm using past tense!

I feel really good about choosing the eGo. I'm going to try it all, too! I'm getting tanks, cartos, drip tips, you name it! I think that learning new stuff will help me through my transition even more.

I can't believe I just went 3 hours without craving to smoke a real one. This is so surreal. I really never thought that there was ever going to be any hope for me quitting because I'm so weak when it comes to smoking. Seriously weak. No willpower at all...and now here I am taking the first step without so much as a mild panic attack. lol

Shopping for your eGo, since you're in Canada, I'd recommend Happy Vaper. Their link is in my signature. Great customer service, and fast shipping. They don't have nic in their juice, but many Canadian vendors can be found in the Canadian suppliers section on this forum.

You can also order juices internationally, but then you risk it getting stopped at customs.

The withdrawal will probably be a lot less than you may think. This is different. You are not only quitting, you are replacing with something that is even more enjoyable. Not only that, vaping covers aspects of the addiction/habit that the others neglect. No wonder they fail miserably, ya know?

You're right. This is different, but the same. Quitting smoking is more than slapping a nicotine patch on your bum, isn't it?

Just avoid GreenhouseOne's juices. Bad, bad mojo. (They drop ship from China anyway, but they have some sort of "outlet" (guy at a desk, I guess) in Toronto.) Their equipment is fine though.

Jack at Happy is a great guy to deal with though, I can attest to that, too. For what it's worth I've had no problems ordering juices from an assortment of US vendors; most are kind enough to take steps to make sure we get our juices properly, as most know the whole BS situation with Health Canada's little "advisory" here.

Incidentally, I don't know where you are in Ontario but Jack has a booth at Dr. Flea's that he runs every weekend, so if you're around there at any point on a weekend you can drop by, have a chat, maybe try some stuff.

Thanks for the heads up on this. I'll remember that. I was going to order some juice from cdnvapor. It should be interesting trying out all these different flavours!

I'm so close that I could definitely do that! My husband was going to take me this past weekend, but he had to work. I'm sure we'll make it to see him very soon.

I reviewed the Extreme Kit, if anyone is interested it's available on the blog on my profile. Great kit! I had an eGo, got tired of it, found Apollo, and stuck with them since. Great guys over there.

I was talking to one of them the other day actually and they mentioned they're going to have a new kit that will be like the eGo. I can't wait! They also mentioned that they'll be getting in some new flavors, which will be great too.

Congrats on your switch to ecigs. I have an ego also and love it. If you want a backup for your ego, a Riva is almost exactly the same as an ego only it has a little bit more battery life. My egos & Rivas backup each other.
