iTaste MVP problem???

I'm still pretty new and just recently got a new iTaste MVP V2 and a Protank 2. I already have an eGo and an iClear 30. I have been loving the MVP, however for some reason the MVP stopped firing or reading ohms on the protank2 (worked fine for about 3 days), but works fine with the iClear. Today I got an iGo-W, drilled the holes out a little and the MVP wont fire or read ohms on that neither (eGO) will. The MVP also works fine with eGo style disposables. Has anyone else had this problem??? Any ideas what's wrong????

The MVP has had issues with the connector pin being too short. Mine would fire clearomizers just fine, but would not fire cartomizers (cartotanks).

The problem can be fixed by taking a small tool (ie. micro screwdriver) and teasing the center pin up higher.

The very center silver pin (flat top). This is what makes the electrical connection between the battery and the juice attachment's connector.

Yeah. It can get pushed down into the insulator and cause connection issues. When attaching anything to your device you want to turn it until you feel it make connection and just a quarter turn more. Basically just enough where it won't wobble off. It could either be the center pin on. The device or even the protank and igo. Check them and make sure the center pin isn't push in.

Does it look recessed way below the threads? When I first started I dropped the center pin on my ego and fixed it with a paper clip.

Didn't know that! Luckily my MVP doesn't have that issue.

It shouldn't be a problem, just don't lift it too much. You can always get an adapter.

It didn't seem too recessed, but I did move it back up a little.

Had the same problem with my Igo L. I just slightly filed down the outer ring of the post on the MVP. It worked great!

Be aware though, if you use this method, you will want to file the 4 air slots down as well to maintain air flow while using Iclears. Just a heads up.

I couldn't tell that mine was short just by looking at it. I had the vendor who I got it from look at it, and all the devices he tried (several different clearomizers) all worked. Apparently the connectors for cartomizers are shorter and won't make contact with a short pin on the MVP.

I didn't adjust mine because, since I had won my MVP in a raffle for free, I planned on paying-it-forward to a friend wanting to start vaping and I knew she would only be using clearomizers on it.

Got the same issue with my 2.0 nowadays as well..

Boge carto tanks work perfectly at first, but if I used the tanks on my zMax, it won't fire on the MVP most of the time afterwards.

It also won't read the Aspire BDC Vivi Novas I just got in. Tried to adjust the center pin, but doesn't help at all.
