First post!

Ordered an iTaste MVP v2 From fasttech, and from much research and lurking, I tried the "button flush technique" where pushing down on the on/off switch would make the button flush, and therefore allow the vape to stand up straight.

Unfortunately the output function doesn't work now, I never tested it before I pushed button down too ( I know I'm an idiot). But I'm fairly sure I didn't damage anything, I pushed on the switch relatively gently and carefully.

Maybe I'm using the output wrong? Is there a specific procedure I need to follow?
Anyone else have this issue with iTastes?

The vape itself works great, but the output is bothering me quite a bit.

yes, I made sure the cords are snug, even used different cords
yes, I did make sure to turn the output off when vaping.
yes, I tried different phones and 3rd party chargers.

If anything, I may disassemble the button party in order to see what's going on and hopefully find the problem.

That might be your best bet. When you pushed down on the button you may have pinched something inside the mod casing some sort of short to the output feature. I own an MVP V2 as well and i never had to do that to mine to make it stand upright. I hope you find the solution when you take it apart and when you do please share! VAPE ON!

I'm surprised that the protruding switch problem is still showing up. I thought that was corrected long ago. That's the reason I bought the Energy version. There is a site that explains how to disassemble an MVP. Don't know where it is but Google might help.

Yeah it sucks. I got mine in March and had to do the chopstick trick. But once done it was no longer an issue.

Probably why fasttech got the units as they where the returns or early problematic ones. The unit I got from beast is great little unit an seems to be performing well. Was on sale for $35 delivered. Now if I can just find out how long one can get out of tank coils. Just changed two today after the wintergreen and menthol tasted bad. One Kanger and one cheap gs-h2

Thanks for all the help guys, I think I'll just rely on FastTech's Support.

They have a warranty type situation for these. Hopefully I'll get a working iTaste!

Good luck on that. I try to keep bigger $$$ items and batteries etc state side. If you have a problem turn around is faster and the couple $s saved not worth waiting half a month or so for.

Here's an update guys.

So I recieved a new one. Still didn't charge my android phone with the 3 pronged charger.

I attempted to charge an old ipod (old generation charger) that was dead. It ended up showing a "charge" screen.

So I tried charging a vape pen off the output, and that worked as well. Honestly, it's a hit or miss with the third party chargers. I've tried a combinations of chargers and phones, and none really work. Perhaps it's only designed to charge dead devices? (hence the dead ipod charging). iphones can't be charged either.

Anyone else have this issue?
