Hi everyone, wanted to put this in a post because I have not seen anyone with this issue.

So I just got into vaping about 2 months ago and am analog free since Oct 1 2013. Yea!!! Started off with the Egos from ebay and they quickly broke. I guess its true that you get what you pay for. Ordered up the MVP V2 and instantly loved it upon arrival. Great battery life and pretty versatile little box mod. About a week in with it I started having the standard topper issues. Not just the toppers listed in the MVP owners forum but with the IClears as well. I would take one off and put another on and "NON". Whats up with that right? So I started the "teasing up" of the fire pin fix and it worked every time until yesterday. I must have teased a little to much and broken some kind of grommet that the fire pin sits on. Now it moves around freely in there. Shorts out every time I hit the button. I was able to manipulate it to work with a small 510 drip atomizer (took an hour of trial and error). Guess Im going to have to open it up. Anyone have any advice or been in this device before. Only saw one vid on youtube for the charging port. Short and no closeups. Any help would be much appreciated.

Vape on!!

Is your MVP still under warranty? I'd return it for a new replacement.

It seems that all versions of the MVP, a minority of them have had top connector issues. Either the center pin has been set too low at the factory or the outer ring sets up too high preventing electrical contact. Some owners have pulled the center pin up or sanded/filed down the outer ring.

I am sorry to hear about your MVP problem. The MVP has a long history of problems with the 510 connection and the buttons. I thought they had mostly fixed those problems on the new MVP V2, and I have not had those problems with it. Bad has a good suggestion about sending it back under warranty. Hopefully, you can get a satisfactory resolution to this. Good luck, all the best!

WOW, thanks for the quick replies! You guys rock. I emailed the seller (another ebay purchase) to see what they can do but its been just over a month. Doubting there are any returns on my particular unit but we'll see. If not Im not afraid to open er up and take a look. I'd bet there is just a missing rubber/filler material grommet that held it in place and kept any leaked juice from getting into the battery compartment. Im already trying to think of something I could substitute if thats the case.

On another note, Im nervous cause my backup is a crappy ego that dies quickly. Ugh.. I ordered an SVD from Fasttech when this started happening and it should be here tomorrow (i pray, lol).
