I have the same problem with my protank on the vamo but I can usually get it to fire by just tightening it a little bit or just tinkering with the threading on it a little. It sounds like the positive pin in the center of your post (at the bottom) of the vivi nova is not making good contact with the center post on the MVP. I am not aware whether you can adjust the center post on the MVP or not, but if you can I would try raising it a bit. Also, make sure that the center pin on the vivi is not pushed up into the post. Also, clean both connections (vivi center pin and MVP center post). If you have some contact cleaner or something similar that would be ideal but if not just make sure there is no grime on either of the connections. Hopefully this helps.

When you say raise do you mean towards the drip tip?

No. If you are adjusting the post on your vivi nova, it would be lowered a bit (away from the drip tip). The idea is to help establish a better connection between your MVP and your nova. I personally wouldn't touch the post on your MVP if other devices work on it. I'd rather have a busted nova over a busted PV if something goes wrong...

I tested my Protank on my brand new MVP (V2) last night. It wouldn't fire. I GENTLY pried the center post out a little on the Protank (and centered it better -> reduce chance of shorting) with a jeweler type screwdriver and it fired fine.

I have to pull out the center posts on my T3 heads to get them to fire on my eVic sometimes. I just use hemostats for that.

I wish the center post lengths were standardized better, but it's an easy fix.

Just don't pull the center post on your clearo out too far :( It should only take a fraction of a millimeter.
