Problems with bcc on Zmax

Does anyone else have problems using a bottom coil tank such as a Protank on their vv/vw device? It seems like every coil I put in my protank tastes burnt regardless of what wattage I have my zmax on! My vivi nova works fine. I'm wondering if their is a problem with the device or if I got a bad bunch of 2.5 u heads. Ive tried removing a wick, but nothing seems to change. Any help would be appreciated!

The only thing that improved my Protanks for me was replacing the coils with with micro coils. I did 7 tight wraps 30g Kanthal around a 1/16 drill bit, runs between 1.5 and 1.7 ohms...thread a tiny sliver of cotton through the rebuilt head, trim. Incredible vape, there are plenty of videos on YouTube on how to recoil them, it's really easy. Micro/cotton is definitely the way to go. Good luck.

Do you have your zmax on voltage or power?

Power and rms. But it doesn't really matter if I use wattage or volts.i can run my vivi on any wattage i want but i can't get above 8.0 watts or 3.9 v without it tasting burnt. I'm using 2.5 ohm coils so I know this isn't normal. Right?

You're right....idk man. I got a protank on my zmax and I volt it at 4.5 and works great. Might be a bad mod.

Thats what I'm thinking! Cause I can stick it on my vv ego and it tastes fine. Damn....
