I just got the iTaste SVD and I'm new to the mod world. I'm wondering does the throat hit first seem very harsh at first. I'm trying to figure out how to get a great draw with a huge void of vape without burning my throat

It could be a matter of your voltage or wattage beeing set to high.

I also have the itaste rocking the Iclear 30. I find 10-11 Watts to be its sweet spot. When the tank gets down to 1ml of juice you need to twist and twirl to make sure all the wicks are soaked in juice. Otherwise it starts to taste burnt

Or the pg / vg / nic mg ratio of the juice, or burnt juice, or wicking issues.

Also, some juices are harsher than others regardless of pg/vg ratio. Berry blends seem to be much milder as opposed to something like cinnamon red hots etc.

OT but why is there not a subforum for Innokin/Itaste APV's? ECF has them for Vamo, Provari etc.

Are you using vv or vw on it? What voltage /wattage? What type and mg juice? What type juice delivery device? Need more info.

I have watts at 8.5 volts set at 3.8 iclear 30 strawberry 24mg. It's getting smoother. I've noticed if I take 2 drags one after another the second pull is a lot more harsh

This happens to me when drawing on the Protank atop my SVD. First draw = delicious, Second draw = harsh. I am thinking I need to work on getting it to wick better. Maybe some stiff draws without firing will help...

I actually was just trying that...stiff draws without firing it up. How do you get it to wick better

I would lower the watts to 7 and start working up slowly as you get used to the power. A lot of people find they can lower the nic content of their juices as they get better equip. Also all delivery devices don't work for everybody. Try a top coil and a bottom coil and find which you like best.

I rebuild my coils in the Protank. Relatively easy to do after reading this thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/clearomizers/396220-kanger-protank-rebuild.html

I try to use different wicking materials (i.e. hemp, silica/ekowool, etc.) and I try different sizes and types of coils to find which works best. Still trying to find my sweet spot though.

Or... you could just keep the tank topped off........

I will by a bottom coil next. The iclear 30 is a top coil right? Thanks for the advice
