Was cruising around my favorite vape sites doing some imaginary shopping and saw the itaste SVD is on sale for $59.99 at vaper venue. Was wanting to pick something up for the old lady so was wondering if this is something a female might like? It's not pink, or purple, or any other girly color so that's a downside but all in all decent device? She's using an ego twist right now..

Im going to wager this is a fair price?

The SVD is a solid mod and is a huge upgrade from an ego. A SVD will compete with any mod as far as how well it vapes. I do have several gripes with the SVD though. In my opinion the SVD is a beautiful devise if the telescope design did not ruin it. The bottom battery holder is huge compared with the rest of the mod. I like things to be flush like they look like they were meant for the same devise. A big downer for me was when I found out the bottom was not stainless steel. Also the only way the SVD feels stable is when it has a battery in it. I feel like my battery holds it together which is a bad thing.

You know her better then I do but a Vamo is always a good MOD for your money. My girlfriend prefers smaller MODs. So the Vamo will be flush in 18350 or 18650 mode. I swear by stainless steel because the coloring will wear off quick and your mod will look horrible. The Version 3 Vamo has a swirl design. If she likes girl colors you could get her a version 2 Vamo and buy her a wrap that covers the outside of it and could be any color or design. The only downside is the version 2 Vamo does not have ego threads. If she use the 510 stuff its fine that's all I use.

If you think she will not go back to smoking I would invest in a pink Provari Mini. My girlfriend breaks everything and her provari mini is the only one not to go to the Mod graveyard.

I have an SVD and I'm pretty happy with it. It's a sold device but i don't think it's very feminine. My GF thinks its way too big and heavy. I personally don't think either the Vamo v2 or v3 are really that good looking. My v2 was my beater until I got my SVD. I'd recommend getting one of 3 mods for a woman, the Sigelei zmax mini that comes in assorted colors, the Smoktech zmax mini in stainless steel, or the Smoktech SiD which also comes in assorted colors. They're all pretty cheap from US vendors. They're all relatively small and light weight. between the 2 of us we have all 3 that I recommended, an SVD, a Vamo, and a couple of mechanicals. The Zmax's are our go to mods for when we're out and about and don't wanna lug around with a deadly weapon. At home I use my SVD and she uses the SiD. ExhaleVapors has the best price on the zmax mini with a coupon code. It's like $44 shipped. MVS has the Smoktech mini for like $50. And Healthcabin has the SiD for $30 but the get you with the shipping which I think is like $14. Those are the best prices I've found. I would've posted links but I'm not sure if that's allowed.

Yeah, I see that's a 50% of their regular price.

FT kit comes with 2 I clear 30's and 3 replacement dual coils for them + that 6 month warranty they give on all their products and free shipping if you want to compare for a kit price. Never heard of Vaper Venue until today so I have no idea what kind of warranty they offer on a Chinese mod ;)

Edit: For the comparison to REALLY be fair take the $14.99 they charge for the I Clear 30 off the $59.95 price. Or add $14.99 to the Vaper Venue price for the kit + the price of 3 replacement heads. Just sayin'

SVD is a pretty rocking mod. She'll probably love it unless she plans on running in 18650 or stacked 18350 mode. The thing becomes gigantic after you put a head on it. In 18350 mode with the small telescope tube its a good size. Just keep the styling in mind, even in 18350 mode the look screams light saber to me, but then again I do love me some Star Wars. :p

Yes, the SVD is a very well-built, well-machined mod for being Chinese. The biggest feature I love the most: the buttons lock. I love my Vamo, and I still use it every day, but I've found myself reaching for the SVD more and more.

Yes, it is gigantic, huge, and heavy in 18650/2x 18350 mode, so if she's opposed to holding something big in her hands (no pun intended... well, maybe...) or doesn't want to attract attention, she may want to look at something else, or at least use it in shorty mode with a single 18350.

And although I've always compared the tube mod pv's to lightsabers, this one actually truly does look exactly like a lightsaber.

I recently went through the research to find a mod that would suit me. I'm female and petite. I really liked the look of the SVD, but it is quite heavy and I didn't like the way the raised border around the screen felt when I held it and tried "vaping positions". What I did buy was a stainless steel zmax mini and added one extension tube so that I could use an 18650 in it.

The weight is more than my ego C upgrade 1100 mah, but really not bad at all. The diameter fits comfortably in my hand and I like the one button operation. It has a slimline look and feel. I'm also really enjoying the variable wattage setting.

Good luck!
