Just ordered the iTaste V3 and was wondering about the pass-through function.

Some pros have said that some pass-throughs use the charge from the battery and then recharge if hooked up to the USB, and say this puts strain on the battery and decreases its lifespan. Some have recommended not vaping in pass-through mode.

Seems to me a proper pass-through should discontinue charging the battery and provide power to the atty/carto/rda/whatever when fired, then go back to charging the battery when not pressed. Or, provide enough power to do both at the same time, but not sure if that is possible with USB output.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

As mentioned, not a true passthrough. You can vape it while charging. I have four of these and never a problem. The solution is to always have a charged backup, using the "passthrough" more as an emergency function, not a daily operation. Good luck. Certainly the best stick battery out there, and can't beat the price now. YMMV. Good luck!
