Hi everyone

So I have the iTaste VTR and run it using AW IMR 18650 batteries I purchased from Provape. I am currently using the Kanger AeroTank and ordered three more tanks which are the Kanger ProTank 2, Kanger ProTank 3 and Innokin iClear 30 X1.

Anyways I'm not sure if battery life is where it should be on the device. I know it depends on a lot of factors like wattage, voltage, clearomizers, single coil, dual coil, battery size, brand and more. But what is everyone here who owns or who has owned the iTaste VTR experienced on battery life? Again I know this can vary greatly depending on several factors but what have you experienced? If you could please list watts, volts, batteries, clearomizers, attomizers, how much you vaper and more. Thank you

I have 2 VTRs. It depends on what you are running it on... If I crank up my watts I might get 2 hours out of it. If I keep it turned down to 8 or so I will get 3 1/2 to 4 hours... I Vape a lot too. Both of my VTRs do about the same...so I assume it can't be a hardware issue. I've got some Sony 30 amp batteries on the way. Right now i use AW IMR 18650 batteries...I think a better battery may help some but not much because these do use a lot of power.

If I'm chain vaping it runs down very fast.

I us different toppers. I have a couple of Russian 91s, some iclear30s, some protanks... The Russians drain it a tad more than the others.

How long does your battery tend to last?

Hi Elizabeth and Thank you for your reply.

You helped me a lot confirm that my Innokin VTR is running properly. Lol.

I get exactly right around the same as yourself at about 2 hours if running at a high wattage an/or chain vaping as well. As yourself if I lower the watts to 8 I can see about 3 to 4 hours b as well. I get a broken heart when I start to see the orange LED before the red LED. lol.

And as you said when heavily chain vaping the battery will deplete fast.

I wish the battery life was a lot better but as you said these devices use a lot of power.

If you don't mind when you get the Sony batteries in and have a chance to test them if you could reply letting everyone and myself know what battery life your getting.

Thanks

I use a VTR as well and have similar battery life. I'll admit it's not as long as I expected with an 18650 (I use AW IMR 2000mAh), but it's just a small bump in the road, I suppose. At least you don't have to constantly screw and unscrew a bottom cap to switch then out...just pop and drop!

I was using 2000mah aw 18650's and I would put one in at night freshly charged that would last me through work the next day and I would swap it when I got home. The second would last me until bed. I got the same performance from my Panasonic CGR18650CH's 2250mah.

I recently bought some 2900mah Panasonic NCR18650PF's and they last me a lot longer. If I put one in in the morning freshly charged it easily lasts me until after dinner. I highly recommend checking them out and grabbing a few. I use all aerotank's on my vtr and pretty much vape all my flavors at 8.5 watts.

Wow I can't believe that short of life on an 18650 battery. Amazing the MVP gets me two days and it is rated at 2600mAh. If I was only get 2-4 hours I would be ....... Makes me glad I decided not to go with a MOD with changeable batteries now.

Yes test I expected a lot better battery life using 18650 batteries and especially the AW IMR 18650 batteries. I'm for sure looking into new batteries soon or soon pick up a second mod for when I leave the house and use the VTR when I'm at home. I don't want to buy another mod because I love to use the VTR everywhere I go but unless I can find a better battery with better battery life than I just might or carry a bunch of batteries around. Lol.

I vape between 7-8.5 watts and use about 3-3.5 ML a day. Using Samsung ICR18650-26F batteries my charge will last from 7:30 in the morning till at least 11pm at night. i have never once run it down to empty. I have been very happy with the Battery life.
This has been my experience also. I'm using Efest imr18650 2000 mAh hi-drain V2 10A batteries. Its probably best to use how many mL per battery than how much time. But time wise, I've received less than eight hours use only when I was dry burning 6 wet coils one night. I have some Panasonic NCR18650PF 2900mah hi-drain 10A batteries coming to check them out for fun. I use 1.8 ohm coils. 10mg/ml e-liquid.

Agreed that a better measure is ml per battery not time. A very good friend using the VTR can last 3-5 days on one of the Panasonic NCR18650PD 2900mah high drain 10amp. We have the exact same equipment to compare and I can't even stretch it to 2 days because I chain vape all day.

I need three or four times as much juice and attys, well, because I use mine. :smokie:

chances are the aerotank you got came with DUAL COIL. You're probably vaping 10 watts I am guessing. 5 watts per coil.

You're using twice as much power+ running those dual coils -- you should be noticing the tank emptying fast too!!

My MVP2 continues to impress me - maybe having two batteries inside is making this difference - the first device that I have owned that I can count on lasting me all day. For the price I put into my other devices batteries the MVP2 is a bargain.

The mvp2 is a big battery; why do you say it has two batteries inside? It's not like you can pop out the battery when it dies and replace it.

There is one good reason they stop with MVP2 production.
inside MVP is Li-Po battery which is most dangerous of all Lithium cells.
RC guys are using them for their projects.
Battery of this type performing very well, but it is very very sensitive.
99% of all battery related incidents are involving Li-Po cells.

:2c:

It's actually a Li-ion (lithium ion) battery, which is safe to discharge and recharge without fear of combustion. These batteries have voltage regulation circuits built in so they don't over discharge/charge, that's why they're in every electronic device from cellphones to laptop/tablet computers.

Li-Po (lithium polymer) batteries that you mention are high discharge cells that are great for hobby electronics such as r/c. If mishandled they can be very dangerous. No manufacture would put one of these batteries in an enclosed device and allow it to be shipped all over the world.
