What kind of vape time are you getting with those?

I normally vape at low power as well as vaping from more than a dozen PVs so I don't have a time that would be meaningful for anyone else. However, you can do the math to see how much longer they might work for you.

(2900-mAh of current smaller capacity battery) ÷ mAh of current battery = percentage of increased vaping time

Example compared to a 2000 mAh battery:
2900-2000 = 900
900 ÷ 2000 = .45 (45% of increased vaping time)

I have SDV,VTR and MVP. MPV is my workhorse. SDV Is my favorite mainly because of the shape. VTR is my Sunday go meeting as it look nice but heavy. VTR is very selective on the heads you run. Iclear30 gets very little airflow on VTR. All work excellent and well made. People new to vaping I steer them towards the MVP. I like to switch around to different machine a lot. Life becomes boring if you don't keep switching things up. CHEERS!

VTR I run Panasonic NCR18650B 3400mAh: 3.7V Flattop

I love my VTR! I have had it for three days now and I can't say enough good things about it. It has brought me back to the world of VV/VW I went mech for awhile because I got sick of my vamo. I believe it has something to do with the 33.3 thing, but itaste runs the root mean square. :D I really am not sure what that truly means but for sure reason I believe this vapes smoother, heats faster, and just looks super cool. I did cut the ring off by day two tho. It was a tough decision but I am glad I did it. I am enjoying my genisis atty much more now, it is almost surprising. Also my kayfun arrived on the same day, they work very well together. I am using AW IMR button tops, no problems there.

Finally, I found a battery that works!! (High Drain 18650 2900mAh Hybrid IMR Li-ion Rechargeable Battery (Panasonic NCR18650PF inside) - Button Top from Orbtronic) It says nothing about being protected/unprotected and it is a button top, but it does let the battery compartment door close on my VTR.

After having my VTR sit on the shelf for two weeks since being delivered, I took my first vape from it last night! This beast ROCKS (once ya find the right batteries) :headbang:

Glad for the update and that you found a battery which fits.

FYI, the Panasonic NCR18650PF 2900mAh is a hybrid battery which can be purchased as either a flat top or button top, and either as a protected (Orbtronic version) or unprotected version. The protected version likely would not fit as it would be longer than the unprotected version; you wouldn't want the protected version for the VTR anyway since it already has built-in protection circuitry.

Are you not putting strain on the VTR door using the button tops? I run the same battery in my VTR but with the flat top. It fits perfect. If you are having to push the door closed, you need to change those out to flat tops.

I couldn't even close the door with the first batteries I bought. However, since then...I found that the Panasonic NCR18650PF equivalent (even as a button top) allows me to close the door without effort.

Geez, I know I'm a noob to this, but really...what is the secret to buying the correct 18650 battery for this S.O.B? Perhaps I've overlooked the technical information on it somewhere...but after buying four 18650 high drain (a pair from two different companies), yada yada yada batteries, I still can't close the dang battery compartment door on this beast!!!

Is the secret to success with this to buy flat top batteries instead of button top batteries? AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGHHHHH!

Yep, the length of a Protected battery is a problem on the VTR. Panasonic NCR18650B and NCR18650PFs, also Samsung INR18650-20R work fine. (66mm is about as long as your battery should be).

OBTW Don't Use A Metal Caliper to Measure A Battery (Shocking Experience, LOL)

Hi Vaper friends. I was on the Vape Rev site because it is one of my favorite places to shop and to "window shop". Why is that anyway. I am talking about constant window shopping? I have more devices that I will ever need. I will NEVER run out of e-liquid yet I keep trying new flavors. Actually some of my darker colored juices are going bad(VG gets runny and loses a lot of flavor) but I still buy more. I guess I just love VapeMail! I think it has a lot to do with watching the review and new product videos. They all make me want to try everything they talk about but having to actually pay for everything is not like getting free products to review. I AM NOT PUTTING THEM DOWN OR TO SHAME FOR THAT but since I love Vaping and Vapers I just dive in and spend spend spend. I can't keep doing this because now I just have so much gear that a lot does not get used. I purged once about six months ago and sent a lot of vape gear and liquid charges etc... to someone who could really use it but I am back to over kill again. Which brings me to my point about the VTR. I have one and I am pleased with it. I got a good deal a few months ago for $70 or some where there abouts. In my window shopping at VapeRev I saw they are selling new VTR's for $55 or $50 I forget but it is one of those so if you have wanted one and were waiting for a deal I would say get your .... over their and get your self one. Sorry for the long preamble. Happy Vaping ECFers.

I agree that $50 or $60 is a good deal on a VTR and I would jump on that price since I spent $70 two months ago and thought I was getting a good deal then. I started out with Halo Triton's and following a ton of research..."graduated to a VTR." It really is a nice device, but with all this talk about Provari...I went and purchased one of them as well. IMO, I think I now have the best PV's around -- but I still find myself going to the VTR more than the others. It's comfortable in my hand and vapes without problems. For some reason, my Provari 2.5 seems to pop up E-1 error codes all the time. I've NEVER had a problem with the VTR...it's my ole reliable. From my experience over the past two months...the VTR is the only PV I should have purchased. (Though I like the Halo Tritons for how light and portable they are)

Bottom-line -- You can't go wrong with the Innokin VTR. It delivers!!!

Ok so that price in VapeRev is for real. Unfortunately they are now out of stock. I doubt they will get more of them at that price and by pure speculation on my part they will not be getting them at any price. Again this is pure speculation and I could be wrong but something tells me they will not be offering any mods for the common man products. I think since they offer so many premium and top shelf products and as they have a reputation as selling a great variety of upscale products that they may go even deeper into the premium genre almost exclusively. I can't stress enough how important it is to disclaim that this is purely a guess on my part but they really seem to be dumping the lines like Innokin. I say that because all of their products in that category are on sale with some unbelievable prices. It makes sense to specialize in the top shelf and premium products now because it is proven that there is a demand for such products. I think a lot of vendors were very hesitant to dive in too deep and stock bigger ticket price product because there was no real proof that they would sell. Now it is fact. The most in demand products are the ones that everyone is trying to get and if there was any question or doubt that people would buy big money Vape gear in the past, then the questioned has been answered and the answer is yes. Don't believe me? Go find a Dna 30 or even 20 premium brand product. After that look for atty's that are $100 or more and most of them are sold out. Yes my friends big spending is now a proven fact in our happy Vaping community.

Only thing that has prevented me from going with the VTR is it won't fit my kayfun and any RDA's. I would only be able to use it with the Protanks and iClears that it comes with. I went with the SVD instead and never looked back.

Just figured I'd chime in, cause this is precisely the problem I had with my VTR. I used a grinder to cut the ring off and a dremel sander to sand it smooth and it now fits my kayfun 3.1 clone perfectly. Still would need the adapter to mount RDA's, but Ive been sticking to very low resistance builds and mech mods for that anyway. The VTR and kayfun combo is now my out-and-about vape and I'm loving it. One thing that is always mentioned is the weight-- I loved the feel of it in the hand when i first got it, but now, with the warmer weather here and the heavy jackets and vests starting to shed, the weight is really starting to annoy me. Bear in mind that I'm 6'4 and 300 lbs and you'll begin to see that this heft is really not for everyone, no matter how strong. Pic of my modified VTR attached. I'm actually sanding it down today to reveal the brass/zinc alloy underneath the powdercoat! uploadfromtaptalk1398109267430.jpg
