I have an mvp2 and absolutely love it! But my backup joyetech battery finally kicked the bucket. That said I was looking to possibly get a Mod at first then realized the VTR is set up similar to a mod since you can change just this battery. So thinking a May do that and make my current workhorse/mvp2 my backup.
Looking
For general opinions and to make sure that the kanger aerotank or aspire nautilus will work with the VTR. (Noticed the setup for a tank is different but threaded the Same. Looks to go on side instead of top-which looks cool on the pics)
Also wanted to know if the VTR can charge an electronic device like the MVP2 does?
Thanks in advance.

I've been using my new VTR for five days. It's quickly become my go to device. It vapes really well and I like the way it fits and feels in my hand. The Iclear 30s that came with it was just alright to me.....switched to a pro tank 2 and it's much much better...for my taste anyway.
I'm extremely happy with it so far.

It won't charge a phone like the MVP but thats a feature that wasn't of great concern to me.

Thanks ya'll yeah the charging thing is not that big a deal I can always get a separate back up battery for that. My big thing is to use or not the extension tube. I know myself and some6hing that small would bug me cause I like the way it looks with the tank parallel to the mod-nice and compact. To use the extension defeated the purpose on my head enough to bother me in the Long run. But since I use the aerotank I'm wanting to make sure that it won't drive me nuts! Looks like an awesome setup.

Geez, I know I'm a noob to this, but really...what is the secret to buying the correct 18650 battery for this S.O.B? Perhaps I've overlooked the technical information on it somewhere...but after buying four 18650 high drain (a pair from two different companies), yada yada yada batteries, I still can't close the dang battery compartment door on this beast!!!

Is the secret to success with this to buy flat top batteries instead of button top batteries? AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGHHHHH!

This does seem to be an issue with the VTR. It's been widely reported that not all 18650 batteries will fit the VTR. Not having owned one myself, I can't say which ones will fit. Perhaps starting thread specifically about this topic will lure VTR owners to report which batteries that they have used successfully.

The VTR will accept juice attachments which are 19mm in diameter or smaller. Wider diameter attachments will require using the extension which will mean the short profile of the VTR will change.

are they protected batteries?? protected batteries are just a tad bit longer than unprotected and wont fit in certian mods....

That's probably the case...I'll have to check when I get home. I didn't know there was a size difference between protected & unprotected. Maybe I'll have to buy a Provari so I can use the ones my VTR doesn't like! (Do the protected 18650's work in other devices?)

The VTR is a great piece I think. Max 15 Watts, "true" 15 watts as well. Also, on removal of battery and re-insert, it keeps your settings. Also will fire as low as .7 ohms, although there have been reports of .5. Comes with an extension to fit RDAs/RTA/RBAs.

I'd get it, if I had a thing for VV/VW devices

Only thing that has prevented me from going with the VTR is it won't fit my kayfun and any RDA's. I would only be able to use it with the Protanks and iClears that it comes with. I went with the SVD instead and never looked back.

here you go can fit a tailfun gt as wwell Snapshot_20140329.jpg

Flat top IMR AW, IMR Efest and hybrid Panasonic all work for me. However, I have a button top Panasonic that works in all my other VV/VW mods but is too long to allow the door to shut on my VTRs. Orbtronics 18650 2900mAh are my new faves.
