iTaste VTR modding/teardown?

I ordered a chi you flat top cap to replace the VTR connection, I will post when complete. I have mine completely tore apart and getting ready to drop a dna 30 in it and hoping to still use the stock buttons on the VTR. Going to start dremeling room for the dna board in next couple days!

I'm about to do the same but haven't figured out how to get the original 510 connector off. How did you do it?

BTW anyone found a good spring loaded 510 connector? I ordered the chi you replacement and the m16 top cap.
