Sorry, no build to show off. Actually, I'm asking for some much more experienced and educated opinions from you guys. I did some searching on this forum and on the Google Machine, but couldn't find any examples of someone gutting a VTR and installing a DNA20/DNA30 board. Has anyone ever done this before? Any ideas on how it could be done? I'm sort of an idiot when it comes to PCBs, but have some experience modding guitars.

It's not that I don't like my VTR, its just that it would be nice if I set it to 15 watts and GOT 15 watts. It'd be even better if I could fry cotton at 30 watts though

Haven't seen a vtr... Though that would be rather amazing. Somewhere around here I have seen a pic of an MVP converted though

This would be very cool--I think the best thing to do would be to open up a VTR and see how the board could fit, and it's hard to say if you could fit a 18650 batt inside after modding it--you may have to go with a flat batt and have on-board usb style charging.

Hmmm... Happened to open one up the other day while dremeling the ring off... There's a fair amount of room in there! Anyone have specs on the size of the board and the size of the screen?
