Hi all.

Just wanted to share with everyone how I easily made my nautilus fit my VTR without messing with the VTR.. The nautilus is much cheaper than the VTR and won't lose much value with the change..

What I did was, I used a iron file to remove the popped out grips and hole. I did it patiently, took almost 2h, but in the end I didn't even needed to use sand paper to smooth it out, was already smooth. I hope you like it. Enjoy!

Cheers.

Ky girl, the vtr is a mod by innokin, like your MVP, except it uses 18650 batteries instead of lipos like the MVP. The vtr has a sort of cut out on one side where the tanks attach to it, instead of sitting on top like most box mods and the MVP. Down side is you can't attach any tank you want, although I think there is an attachment where you can put other stuff on top instead of the side, anyway just google vtr and you will see what I mean. The metal cover he has is something that are made for the aspire line of tanks - nautalis, nautalis mini, Atlantis, maybe more not sure. Hope that helps.

Thanks so much, Box Mod Lyfe! WIll def google VTR and check it out. Will also check into getting me a cover since i just recently purchased my first Nautilus mini, which i absolutely LOVE! Guessing the higher batteries (Mods) you move up too just gives you more power and more variable room to up the voltage to get a better vape. I know the MVP is 2600 mah, so anything higher will only help with the more throat hit and vapor, depending on what suits my taste buds?! Guess i'm simply asking, does the 18650 batteries just give you a longer charge and/or do they just give you the option for higher volts/wattage....because on a 1.7 ohm Nautilus mini, there's so high you can go before burning out the coil.

love the photos, but what is a VTR? Yeah, i'm still a newbie And while i'm at it, i want one of those air flow covers to just accent my nautilus mini as a cover, does most of those fit the mini or are they strictly for specific mods? I'm using a iTaste MVP 2.0, so unsure if it would hang over on the side.

The caged glass assembly you see replaces the original tank and has the same diameter, it makes no difference to overhang. As with many other things that were big last year, the iTaste VTR - supposed to stand for VecToR design - has dropped off the radar. Massively constructed and of muscle-building weight, I thought they were very cool and bought two of them because I couldn't choose between silver and green colour. Now they just languish in my vaping kit store, an old lunchbox, because I've moved on to iStick. The vaping scene changes so fast, and that's one of its pleasures.

Sunshine Pete, yeah i agree about the vape scene changing and i'm still a newbie and have noticed that! I just checked to see what VTR's was and wow, look like a powerhouse for sure, but the weight of em would be too heavy for my liking. I was thinking about checking into the iStick's...but i really like the new eLeaf's also. I just want to get an extra mod and/or eGo so i'm not constantly needing to switch out tanks when i want to try another favorite ejuice. However, i do know i want to get a larger powered battery, because i'm finding i'm pushing the limit on my coils at 1.6-1.8 ohms...i keep the voltage/wattage set way too high in order to get my enjoyment out it.

Well most devices use 18650 batteries because they don't cost much and when the battery starts to go bad you just buy another one. Also when the the battery needs a charge you can just put a fresh one in. With the MVP, if something went wrong with the battery that would be it. The "mah"(milliamps per hour) of a battery is just how long you can use it before recharging it. As for vaping with more watts/voltage, that is usually for rba's (rebuildable atomizers). Where most regular style tanks will be around the 1.8-2.4 ohm range, rebuildables can be most anything and all the way down to less than .1 ( I personally wouldn't recommend it though)

oh okay....yeah i don't want to get into the rebuilding just yet, although i know it would give me a better vape, i'm sure. I just don't have the patience nor the knowledge to do that yet. So the higher powered mods just basically increases the life between charges more than anything else....got it and thanks for clarifying all this for me....i hope i wasn't a thread killer! lol

Hi Ky! I'm new to posting in ECF, though I have been lurking for years, long before I started vaping, actually. I started with the Ego style and quickly moved up to a 15 watt Sigelei z max, then bought a vtr, which I loved and it was sufficient forever with my nautilus and then later, my kayfun. As Sunshine Pete stated, a larger battery will only give you longer battery life between charges, and not more power/voltage. All these mods that we use put out 4.2 volts when they're fully charged and drop down to about 3.7 V during most of the normal operation before cutting out around 3.2 v and you need to charge again. I think the isticks made by eleaf are wonderful little devices, but they it seems they don't step down power, so when you set the mod to 2.5 volts, say, they don't actually do that. You will just get whatever the voltage that the battery is at currently. But it seems they step up just fine and I have no problem recommending them to anyone, not even a newbie, because let's face it- no one vapes at 2.5 volts. However, I prefer the way the 30 watt ipv mini looks and feels over the isticks. They feel cheaply made to me and the power buttons rattle when you shake it. I don't have that problem with the ipv mini. What I do look forward to is getting an ipv mini 2. They go up to 70 watts. More than I ever need. I used to have a mod that went to 150 watts, but never took it above 68 watts, so I decided what's the point, and traded it for a Reo mini. Don't be afraid of building. Prebuilt coils are wonderful, but there's a satisfaction (and substantial cost savings) to making one's own coils. Cheers.
