yes the device is still vaping fine with no troubles.. i have a 2.1 ohms coil in side the clearo and vape at 3.8-4.2 to stay on the safe side.. i have also tried brand new coils in my clearo still the same result 'NON' it is very puzzling and confusing.. i know people will be thinking it still works why are you complaining?... but it is just really puzzling me..and yes the ohms reads 'NON' when nothing is attached and yes it happens with all clearos and atty's that i have tried to attach to it

It sounds like the clearomizer is not giving a reading since it does the same on another PV, so I would assume it is not the PV itself but the I 16"s....That said, you have an Innokin product that actually works, consider it a WIN!:D

My error...I was thinking a different PV was used to test and not a different tank...never mind this post:facepalm:

I would say Its defective, send it back and get one that works.
How is it going adusting to the correct voltage when you are using it in VW mode if it cant read the resistance of the coil?

Oh, good point; the OP needs a way to check if the unit is working in VW mode or not.

With my vamo, I can check ohms 2 different ways, one while firing the coil and one without firing the coil so it is possible that the device might still work in vw mode and might still be able to check ohms; if it has the option to "LCD Display REsistance" that might be a way to chech the ohms while firing.

i just use it on voltage mode not variable as a precaution.. i vape at about 3.8-4.2 just to be on the safe side

I am not familiar with the menu on the vv v3, but is there an option in the menu where you tell it what to display on the screen when you press the fire button?
If so and if it can be set to display resistance, then either it will show the resistance with that setting or else it will show NON.

Send it back m8, your obviously not going to be able to take full advantage of its features because of the fault, so why settle for having to use it in 'half assed' mode. Did you buy it from china? if not, and it came from a US supplier, then get them to change it.
I would be really disappointed if something I had bought arrived not working properly, especially if this is your first vv/vw.

I'm having a similar problem except mine is only firing some of the time. On mine, it will not stay in the VW mode. Makes sense because it can't read ohms. I get a strange reading in the window when it doesn't fire. It will read 888 then change to 1 =. 1 but the = has an extra dash on top. I went to the Innokin web site and filled out their form. Will report back when I hear from them.

Hi there...I have had my itaste vv for about 2 months now and only had a problem twice - first issue was a "non" reading while using an aspire bdc and the issue was corrected by cleaning the connections on the battery and the atty - second issue was when I used a cheap atty - Vigor brand - and it would work fine for a couple hours and then the ohms started rising from 2.1 to 5. This happened with 4 different coils...needless to say I don't use the Vigor atty anymore.

In my personal experience, Innokin has some good products but the ohm reader function on all of the different ones I have had are inaccurate or intermittent. I am one of those that doesn't care as long as it vapes but I also keep a multimeter on hand anyway. If it is a newer unit then those companies are usually pretty good about returns. If an accurate ohms reader is important, my advice would be to contact your vendor or the manufacturer.
