Hi all! My best friend just made the switch to her first e-cig! I set her up with the itaste vv v3 and an ARO II. We're having issues getting an accurate resistance reading on the device. When she pushes both buttons to see the resistance she began getting a "NON" message on the screen, however the device was firing and working. I had her unscrew everything (including the ARO head with coil/wick) and make sure nothing was screwed too loose or too tight. I also had her check for any stray bits of metal shavings/residue and she wiped everything clean, paying detail to the threads. She put it all back together and now the device is reading a resistance that varies from 7.0-9.0, and then sometimes back to "NON," all while continuing to fire/work. While I'm still new to vaping, I have two itastes myself, I have never experienced such a crazy high reading! Any clue as to what the problem can be?

Unfortunately, she only bought one ARO II tank and did not buy another replacement head and I can't get meet up with her to try a different tank until tomorrow.

Just wondering if any of you were familiar with this situation. We appreciate any feedback on the issue! :)

The "8 and 9" readings are for wattage. Pushing and holding for 2 seconds, the "+" and the fire button will get you wattage. In order to get resistance, you have to hold down the "+" and "-" button together for 2 seconds.

Thanks for replying! She's definitely pushing both buttons. It's now stopped showing the resistance # and has gone back to just displaying "non" for the resistance. The device is continuing to work/fire and produce vapor. So strange!!

the 'non' means the coil is not touching the battery

take the ARO coil out of the base
looking at picture,
- http://fasttechcdn.com/products/142/1423110/1423110-2.jpg
the bottom of coil you see threads-metal-silicone-metal
that bottom metal with slot and hole in it is the center pin (touches battery)
it's like a nail head - you need to get a finger nail between the
center pin and silicone (which in turn lengthens the coil)

that's about all you need, a finger nail gap and it should work
the center pin is short, so if you pull to far it might come out
not to worry, just push it back in (watch for the small wire inside silicone)

if none of that helps, I'd change coils and/or tanks, just to be sure it is not
an electrical problem in the iTaste VV V3

good luck
