Just scanned through all 37 pages in this section of the ECF and found no mention of an Ithaka thread. I have an Ithaka clone, and it's weird... the ceramic cup sits in the steel cup, and there are grooves in the steel, but none in the ceramic which is completely shrouded in the steel. Anyone else have this model? How does it get coiled and wicked?

There should be grooves in the ceramic cup. Only thing I can think of is have you tried removing the ceramic cup from the steel sleeve. Maybe the ceramic cup was installed incorrectly and the grooves are in the covered up side.
Nah... there are no grooves in the ceramic. Just bizarre.

Man that sucks. Sounds like it is time to contact the vendor you bought it from. I know when I bought my clone they had assembled it wrong and I had to watch some videos on how to put it together correctly. I have never seen anyplace that sells just the ceramic cup and I have no idea if it could be modified to work. Only other suggestion I would have is place a WTB thread in the classified section, maybe someone has an ithaka clone laying around that they don't use. It is a rather complex atty along with the NR-R-NR wire obligation that there may be someone who didn't realize what they were getting into and just have it sitting in a drawer. Worth a shot.

I have an Ithaka clone and it has the channels in the ceramic. Yours might have a manufacturing defect that the vendor should take care of. My Ithaka works fine with no leaking or really any issues, but it's performance is a bit dated (already more than a whole year old lol). When I got it it seemed a real beast but now the airflow doesn't match the new kids on the RTA block and you can't do nickel builds. Still use it once in a while but it's more a novelty to me at this point. It is a beautiful design both from aesthetic and engineering standpoint.

I ended up buying a 2nd clone with the thought of combining the 2 to get 1 working. It worked. Sort of... the new one works, and the old one sits in the drawer...
