I just need to share with you my first creation. Nothing fancy, its been done before, but im so freakin happy it worked that I feel the need to share.

Thanks goes to
- Nicowolf, ofcourse for the NicoStick box and information
- Warp1900, for the idea of using RCA adaptor
- Jack from HappyVaper who provided me with a free EVO atomizer that is a almost perfect fit for all my 510 atomizers

Then, since I dont have my Trustfire 3.6volt yet, why not do a boxmod with regular batteries that I have to test it.

Its not pretty :D but it worked! If you dont like it, sue me! :pervy:

It is my first mod, and first electronic project of all my life, the EFC forums gave me the info I need to learn how things work.. and Im having a blast while doing so. I have gain the mentality that I was reading on the modders section of the forum, I walk in a store, scaning electronic product with my eyes, thinking, humm.. i can mod that!

And to think I didn't knew that vaping existed 1 month ago

good job! Once you go manual, you just can't go back. Try it on 4 batts one day......you'll be hooked in no time!

I have thought of that, but since all I got are 4xAA, 3xAA, 2xAA box.. If I fill all 4 batteries in the 4xAA box, im left with no room for the switch, led, rca plug and wiring.. Do I need a 5xAA / 6xAA box ? not even sure if that's possible, never saw those.

This is a temporary mod untill I can get my hand on 3.6volts battery but waiting for shipping is an absolute nightmare for me, I want my new toy fast, and right now! :D

You did an amazing job, i am really impressed since you say it is your first one ever! Many would wish to do this good even if it was not there first one.
Thanks for the credit and hope you enjoy it for a long time.

The best thing is that if you ever want to get a different atty, you only have to build an RCA adapter for it and no need for a new mod ;)
Just plug it in and vape away.

Thank you for sharing with us

P.S. When doing other atomizer RCA adapters, it is better to cut about half the RCA plug cover since it would be so long together with the atty (801, 901)

I think thats what I did.. if I understand you correctly.. my english skill needs a tuned-up.. im french-canadian so sorry about typo and mistake.

Here is the lenght of the first rca adapter I did, I had cut 1/3 of the lenght but I wasn't happy with the final look of the rim and atomizer socket so i decided to go full lenght with a new rca plug

And just for fun, look at my crappy looking powerfull toy im using once in a while.. and that i have bring on my Survival trip. That baby lasted me many days and got a 3200mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery.

I really wanna open this usb power pack casing, cut the internal usb socket and solder an RCA adapter to it... powerfull, long lasting, less wiring, fast assembly, probably really reliable.. and time is money my friend.. it could be a fast built.. i wonder (didnt had time to see any pic or video before they got removed ) if that was the dedmonwalkin project "fist mod"

I just did my first yesterday. :D The box was a snap, real easy, but mine does not have the LED. My problem was attaching the battery connector to the RCA plug, what a pain, and it looks like real crap. I have another bad battery so I am going to try another connector later this week. ;-) I have batteries ordered also, but coming from China, who knows how long they will take to get here. I did order 4 AA and 4 AAA so I could put 3 in parallel and get 3.7v and 2700mAh, should last several days. :thumb:

I feel ya Burnie.. man was it a pain in the ...... i had to resolder a bunch of time and try new way to finish the adaptor.

The thing i did wrong was to solder the EVO atomizer part to the wire, then solder the last part to the rca adaptor and "try" to screw the rca casing. I would broke my solder everytime, sometime I was close but the last twist was always fatal.

I did i backward and solder the wire to the rca part, screw the casing back and then solder the atomizer socket to the wire and just push it in instead of twisting it from the order side.

I had to buff (not sure what is the good word here, im french) the other side of the rca plug to get the EVO atty inside so it was a REALLY tight fit.. there is no way for the atty socket to get out of there without having Andre The Giant pulling on it :D

I could have done it like the other suggestion on this forum.. with a plastic rca casing, or filling with epoxy instead of screwing it back.. but I like a challenge and it look sharper to me with gold
