and i have absolutely no desire for one.:toast:

I started smoking 22 years ago with the express intention of shortening the time i was to spend on this earth.of course,by the time i grew up ,got married and realized i might like to stick around a little longer it was too late.I was hooked, smoking 3 packs a day and could not stop. I had resigned myself to a slow painful death of lung cancer at an early age and that was just that.
After doing quite a bit of reading here we decided to order a 510 kit and give it a shot.within a week of getting it,we both quit with minimal issues , greatly reduced withdrawal symptoms when compared to cold turkey ( or the patch for that matter) and actually just had no desire to smoke the filthy, disgusting cigarettes that just a week prior we had spent 120 bucks on (just like every other week before that).
To be more to the point and cut down the epic nature of my first post. i just wanted to say thanks and hello!

Congrats. I too am new to this, I haven't been quite as lucky in my withdrawls, but I am making it through. There are periods when the need hits, that I vape constantly, looks almost like my seat is on fire with the amount of vapor eminating from around me. :)

I'm not gonna say the withdrawals weren't there ( the first 4 days were hell and the wife is still having a bit of a go with them) but,the comfort of the hand to mouth thing combined with nicotine really made it easier than just stopping everything at once and trying to grin and bare it. every day you go without a cig is a good day right?

Well, 3 weeks for me yesterday although I've been vaping since April. However, I am having a real tough time this weekend.....I have not smoked, but I really want to. I have no cigarettes anymore so that is a good thing. For some reason, vaping is just not doing it for me the last 3 days!! and the cig nic/chems should be long gone. Any ideas?

Congrats! It's been 3 days for me since I smoked a cig....Feels great to say that. The amazing part is I can go outside with friends that are smoking and I'm not triggered by it in the least.
Keep us updated on your progress :)

3 days- that's great!! you're almost over the hump :2cool:

it does feel great to say it eh? i don't know how many years prior to this it had been since i had gone more than 6 hours without one(yes i had to wake up in the middle of the night to smoke most nights) and a whole day without one was unfathomable. It's great to read all the stories of people quitting so quickly and i'll definitely keep posting - you do the same!!

I wish i could give you a good answer.i've been puffing on lower nic flavors the majority of the time and keeping a couple of higher dosage, peppery, tobacco flavored juices around for when the cigarette urge hits.as soon as it passes i go back to the lower mg non tobacco stuff.Only doing tobacco at those times seems to do the trick for some reason.
That being said, i think i was probably more addicted to the other stuff in cigarettes as opposed to the nicotine ( i can fluctuate nic levels pretty wildly at this point with very little issue) whereas the wife seems to be having to maintain the nic level pretty consistently.

You're 14 days, & I just passed 14 months after 42 years. Good luck to the both of you. You will probably hit some bumps along the way,but if I can do it ,anyone can. Just stay well stocked on juice, batteries, atomizers & I highly recommend some cartomizers, you'll be fine.
Cheers

I smoked as much as you did ... even getting up in the middle of the night to smoke! It's close to three months now without a cigarette and I don't miss them a bit. And I'm actually a bit proud of myself as you should be.

I share your liking of FSUSA ... have you tried the Wyatt Earp yet? Its become my "all day" favorite.
