Never grow tired of hearing these great stories, that great Finewest congrats and congrats on hooking up with the ECF. Those first couple of weeks (especially mornings) are tough, but if you have tried cold turkey, patches, or gum in the past..vaping is indeed a god send.

Don't be fooled by the Boise, I'm an ex-Santa Cruzer!

Great to hear! I found this site while searching for an alternative way to quit analogs. I got my RIVA on Sat. and havent smoked an analog yet! I love reading these stories, as they give me the confidence I need to quit analogs for good

My kids are proud of me, and that's the motivation I needed!

Wes

Don't give up! I hoped you totally quit analogs!

I'm at 8 days today!! I planned to quit analogs the minute my VP came in the mail and I have managed to do it!! Sometimes I try to remember what smoking analogs felt like and I can't conjure it up. I know I don't want to try one...I'm not strong enough to start all over again.

I've got the daily/working vaping experience down. I'm a little (okay, a lot) nervous about my upcoming trip to Vegas. That was my smoking Mecca. I would double the amount I would smoke while there. I know the first thing I need to do to get ready is to buy a better batt...since I won't be near power all of the time. Other than that does anyone have any advice for traveling especially to someplace like Vegas as a new Vaporer?

Yay us for quitting!!!!!

Well, I went camping this summer and my batteries all died. Up until this point, I have been terrified to smoke a cigarette for fear that I would start smoking full-time and give up on my e-cig. But I smoked for two days camping and when I could get my batteries charged I just started back in with my e-cig where I left off, no problem, no craving, cigarettes just aren't a big deal anymore.

Just make sure you have a few good batterys (preferable 650mah or greater) and keep rotating their charge, bring two with you when you go out (or 4 -or a pcc if less than 650 mah) and IF YOU HAPPEN TO slip and smoke, just remember it's not the end of the world - you'll just start where you left off when you get back home again.

Good Luck!

That I think is so difficult to wrap my head around. Everytime I've tried and failed at something I've given up. Diets, smoking, whatever...to think I could actually fall off the wagon and climb right back on???? I don't have a lot of confidence in myself on that front. I do however appreciate your story and advice. I will do everything I can to make sure that I won't have an analog as my only option. Sometimes things can work out alright if you have options. ; )

I'm the exact same way: I've quit so many times and ALWAYS about 6 months in I've 'tried' a cigarette ONE TIME and ended up just smoking full-time again. This is the only time I've been able to smoke for a couple of days and then stop like it was no big deal without any cravings at all - and without any desire to continue smoking whatsoever. In fact, smoking wasn't all the great when I was doing it - I would have preferred that my batteries were nice and charged up so I could vape.

For the first time ever smoking was my back-up plan, not my first choice.

IF you have a good PV (at least 650mah) with 2 batts and access to an electrical outlet you should be fine - but, like I said, even if you do smoke *which btw will probably give you a headache immediately* you'll be able to go back to vaping easily (assuming you are using a good PV and good juice in the right mg nic.).

BTW: what are you using? how high the mg nic?

Hi guys! It will be two weeks tomorrow! I haven't really noticed a increase in lung power... It is true I am not doing that morning hack anymore. That is cool! I did buy a 650mh batt for errands and trips and I also recently ordered another 1000mh batt. So far so good. And let me tell you guys something... and this is so true: If I can do it you can do it. I never ever ever thought I would kick it... but I'm not painting myself into a corner either. One day at at time.
