I saw this somewhere and noted it but never tried it.

Eggnog frapachino

Keoke Coffee Lorann 10%
Eggnog Lorann 8%
Sweetener 2%

Not sure on the sweetener sounds like to much and flavor may fade so I would maybe up the coffee and eggnog to compensate for the fade.

I am wandering what EM is ?

EM (Ethyl Maltol) changes the chemical composition of the mix and changes the perception of the way your taste buds sense flavor. EM is used more to thicken, give body and wetness to a mix as well as smooth out ruff edges. It may give already sweet flavoring a slight perception of more sweetness but will also tend to mute the actual flavor if over used. It is not intended as an actual sweetener. I typical use .5 - 1%.

Perfumers Apprentice - Ethyl Maltol crystals

Lantern Cake

1% TFA Pumpkin Spice
7% TFA Pumpkin
4% FTA Bavarian Cream
4% TFA Cheesecake
4% Central Vapes cake

Central vapes is a company I found on ebay whom I use to buy ejuice from. Found out they also sold flavorings and bought some. Any kind of cake flavoring should be able to be substituted. Pie crust also is an acceptable substitute. Very good as a shake and vape and mellows out and blends nicely with UC steeping.

Ok, so since we are nearing Christmas season....I am looking for a good gingerbread or molasses cookie recipe. I am currently steeping:
Gingerbread (TFA) 8%
Buttercream (FW) 1%

At first taste it was nothing. I am almost at a weeks steep and hoping for the best. I wanted to start early so I can mess around with recipes and hopefully have one set up and ready to vape during the Christmas season.

Some steeping is required for this so it would be understandable if you did'nt taste anything at first. I'm not sure how long it should steep but you should be tasting it at least once a week to gauge the change. If you still don't taste anything after 2 weeks then it may be to much flavoring. So if you don't notice a flavor change after 2 weeks I would reduce the gingerbread to 4% and increase the butter cream to 2%. You may also need to add .05 - 1% sweetener. That's what makes sense to me but others are welcome to comment. You also didn't mention how your base is made up. If your using a high VG content such as 80vg and didn't add distilled water to the mix then the thickness may mute flavor as well by not allowing the flavoring to distribute freely throughout the mix.

I use a 50/50 mix. I normally try everything as soon as I make it just to make notes. (I'm super .... retentive with record/note keeping. ....it's an illness lol) but I also know that no matter how great it might be (rare that it is right out of the gate) that I need to know what will happen after steeping.

I have read the "dessert type" juices usually need longer steeping time. I haven't been able to prove that theory yet as I'm only a few weeks in at making my own.

I was figuring this recipe would need adjusting but I had to start sonewhere. Question tho. I would need to start a new batch to try to alter the recipe, correct? I mean if I just add sweetener at this point it throws off my percentages and how would I know for next time. If I'm looking at that wrong please feel free to tell me I'm an idiot. No really lol. I am working hard on getting this whole DIY thing to work.

Thanks for the feedback so far ;)

"with record/note keeping. ....it's an illness lol"

If you gota to be sick that's not a bad illiness to have:)

You are correct but a little simple math goes a long way with that or a good calculator such as the e-juice me up. SO lets look at altering. What I would do is if you need to dilute the 8% gingerbread to 4% just dilute the whole mix by half and add back the missing butter cream. So in that case you can:

Add 100% base to the mix that will bring the 8% gingerbread to 4%. So if you made a 10ml sample add 10ml more base. Or you can pour out 5ml mix and add 5ml fresh base to stay at 10ml sample size.

Now that you diluted by 100% the 1% butter cream becomes .5% so you need to add back 1.5% to bring it to 2%. See simple.

Then just add .5 - 1% sweetener if nessessary and your right where I recommended.

Nope. Not giving up :)

My remix as per your suggestion is still steeping. After I readjusted it still lacked good flavor. It was kinda....vaping air. So while I continue to let it steep I ordered some molasses.... I thought....hmmmm......i make better molasses cookies than gingerbread so maybe I can make better molasses juice :)

It's still says Christmas to me! !!

Okay...You convinced me. :)

12% Cap egg nog
2% FA Vienna Cream
2% FA Rum

48/48 4%DW 18mg VT

My First use of Cap Egg Nog...I have some TPA Holiday Spice on hand...just in case...:D

Ron

be careful with that holiday spice; that stuff is potent. It works well with apple for a nice spiced apple juice though. I've not found any other way that I like it yet though.

Thanks for the heads up and suggestion!

I guess if any corrections are necessary I should consider adding more rum...or FA brandy...or both! :D

I WILL make some flavors work before Christmas!! dangit...

The gingerbread just wasnt working so I tried a different approach:

Cookie (FA) 2%
Molasses (FA) 1%
Brown Sugar 1%
Gingerbread 1.5%
Meringue (FA) 0.5%

I kind of melded some recipes I had seen and changes as I thought might work. So far, not bad. I am letting it steep a bit longer to see if the flavors become richer. I may up the molasses some as I really like my winter vapes to be "warm" if that makes sense. (As I am currently vaping on "Warm N Fuzzy" lol)

I am also working on peppermint mocha, peppermint chocolate cookie and peppermint hot chocolate. If I can nail them (I am CLOSE) I'll post the recipes

Hoping to see some awesome Christmas recipes!

I'm thinking you may want to up the cookie to 4 - 6%. Also sounds like you may be putting to much sweet into it to start out with. You can always add it back after steeped and tested. Try dropping either the molasses or brown sugar. but that sound like a good start.
