If your coil is too high, it'll be a rough, throaty kinda vape. But i just lower the coil in situ with a handy tool called my big fat finger (let it cool first!).

T

Ok up and chuckin the clouds...Its kinda scorched tasting?? Im using a fresh charged battery...so I should be around 20watts with my calculation of a .8ohm coil... Maybe I have to move the coil down some...Im using Wakonda juice from Nicoticket.. I have vaped this juice around 18 watts before...Im thinking I just need to break in the atty...could be that I didnt clean it well enough, its sort of a oily taste... Throat it is where I like it...Ive got it wide open...yeah. gonna hit it and squonk a few more times...

Will post a pic shortly! Its solid!

The Atty doesnt screw down far enough to sit on that oring...I don't wanna force it another quarter turn...both airholes (I have it in single coil mode though) are facing perpendicular of the button and atty...if that makes sense...not a big deal I guess...Edit: Found solution after searching a few posts...Bigger o-ring..DUH.. Will have to get some...

with a fresh wick i always do 3 good long squonks to prime it - making sure to get the coil wet (could also drip a bit onto the coil, i do that sometimes). I then burn it a few times with the drip tip off, like, two short bursts, squonk, three short bursts, squonk. Kinda gets the wick broke in and the cottony taste outta there a bit. then I squonk and vape away.

I don't have an RM3, but you're just about in vape heaven :) i assure you! adjusting the coil some may blow your mind too :)

Wakonda is gonna be a permenant inhabitant in one of my REOs once #2 comes. It may have a visitor once in a while, but won't have any room mates!

^fyi I got the rm4...
I moved the coil a bit with better results, but it wasn't what I wanted.
I whipped up a 28ga 2.4mm (3/32in) 1.4ohm coil and this ones giving me a whole different vape. I was gonna try a .5ohm but this is pretty nice. Flavor has improved, but with less vapor... might have to try dual coils in this next .. :)...I like flavor over vapor...might have to get a rm3 ;)

Don'tcha love that its more playing with it a little bit than an exercise in total frustration? :) You really REALLY have to mess something up to get a bad experience out of a Reo.

I know this is for the RM2 but if you are working with single coil builds for the moment you may pick up some tips here. => http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/413000-rm2-rba-2-0-reomizer-2-rebuild-tutorial.html

well said. i don't mind and honestly enjoy tinkering with different builds. but NOT when i'm forced to in order to have a decent vape for an hour...
