I am going to have to get another device either a 5 volt or VV because my KGO just isn't doing it for me and in a moment of weakness I bought a pack of cigarettes yesterday. I've tried every concievable way to get enough vapor and throat hit from this. I was a heavy smoker and I'm just used to more, either that or I'm just that pathetic. I think it's a little of both lol. Oh well I have to start my no cig since count all over again. Because I'm not giving up I'm going to do this because I know it will work I've been able to get enough from my KGO to know it's possible. And I have two daughters and a grandson who need me around so the cigarettes have to go and thats all there is to it.
I think part of the problem is I've tried to find a tobacco flavor thats just like a cig and I don't think I will so I'm going to have to start trying the other flavors and stop chasing after that tobacco flavor.
Any suggestions ?

Don't beat yourself up ok. It is a process and some do better than others . My husband took right to it on our 3.7 tornados and I needed more ( better juice really helped me ) I also had a huge decrease in vapor and after 2 days of irritation found I just needed yet another Atty. I am a heavy vapor so I burnt through 3 in 3 weeks :( user error anyway keep trying everyone says it gets easier . I jump on here just like you did and the support helps :) you can do it best of luck .

You aren't pathetic at all. Has the amount of cigs that you've smoken gone down even 1 or 2 less cigs? If so your a success. Everyone doesn't stop immediately. Some people it's days, weeks, months, a year. Some people just cut down.

I have a feeling just by the way you're posting that when you get the right kit and right juice you will do this, if you don't get frustrated and give up a long the way. You sound motivated and that's the most important thing.

Give yourself a break! We're beat up enough by the non-smokers of the world as it is.

What kind and what level of juice are you using?

Donna don't beat yourself up over sliding a bit, many of us have done it too. Wish I could help recommend a tobacco flavor but I'm still searching myself, many do give some parts of the real tobacco experience but none i've encountered give all the experiences. For throat hit you could try a higher nic content juice or drip a few drops of vodka or other PGA into your juices. As for the full experience you'll have to keep searching to find the setup that works the way you need it to. I got to the point where I just took the leap and got my first VV Provari and it can be tweaked to make almost anything I put on it work the way I need it to, so I say money well spent.

It just takes some of us a bit more time than others to find what works for us. We aren't an AA group around we're vaping enablers and anything we can do to help you enjoy a more healthy way of doing things we'll be here to try and help you out as best we can.

My personal favorite tobaccoish flavor is RY4 from Quick Nic Juice. To me their RY4 taste like colonial Virginia. All the wonderful smells of the history Virginia seem to be bottled in that wonderful juice. Whenever I need my tobaccy I go with Quick Nic.

Hi Donna. You are right in your attitude, don't give up girl! Your daughters and your grandson want you around as long as possible ands cigs ain't the way to do that. I been where you are, on the point of chucking Ecigs out because they weren't doing it for me but I kept going, I bought new stuff and new liquids and I did find my perfect happy place vape and I don't even think of the cigs anymore. If I can do it after 37+ years on tobacco you can do it too. You just need to keep looking for the best vape for you. I advise you to try XL clearomisers. They can be a bit of faff to get right but there's loads of info on here how to make them work just great, and when they do, which is most of the time, you can get huge hits, massive vapour and fantastic flavour. Like you I kept looking for that Golden Virginia flavour that I had smoked for so long and in the end I had to accept that I would not find it. Now I DIY my own version of RY4 and I vape it all the time.

So don't be down, you just haven't found what works for you yet. Get shoppin' ! Good luck and let us know if we can help :thumb:

...either that or I'm just that pathetic....

First, I like what swedishfish said: If you're smoking even 1 or 2 fewer cigs, that's a success. Second -- and I tend to beat myself up a lot in general -- do as someone once advised me, and talk to yourself like your best friend would talk to you. You're not pathetic, you're addicted to one of the most addictive substances there is, give yourself a break. I'm not totally cig-free yet (Day 5) but I'm getting there little by little. It does sound like you're going to need to do more experimentation to find the right e-setup, but don't give up. I'm sorry I don't have a lot of experienced info to share but I've been smoking for 40 years and just wanted to give you moral support. Tell yourself things you'd tell your best friend in a similar situation and don't let the inner critic get to you.

Being patience with yourself and letting yourself decide what is right for you is key. Being open minded is a plus also. I wanted the cig look alike and chased the tobacco taste. I spent a ton $$$$. Then I started just trying stuff not like have to have with a clean mind not "looking" for anything and that worked for me.I enjoy all kinds of favors and PV's now. Really enjoing the new favors and am analog free.
Relax and enjoy take your time........

If you are using VG juices, stop. VG dulls flavor and nicotine's TH. If you want TH, VG is not what you use. If you are not using nicotine then I can't help you - ignore everything else I say below - the juices below have good hit WITH nicotine. I also use some other juices from elsewhere in 80PG/20Vg or 90OPG/10VG.

I use high PG juices. if you want a couple with a sharp-edged hit, try these Vapor4Life juices and prefilled samplers. Get a 510 to 808 adapter (see Goodprophets, Altsmoke) to try the flavors in cartos - the adapter will let you try a 5-flavor sampler pack of cartos (the WOW cartos are around 2.5 ohm?). Try the WOW Tobacco Shop sampler (there may be two different ones?) - my vape WOWbacco is in a sampler (a cocoa tobacco) as well as WOWboy (same thing with a bit of mint added) and a few others. Their WOW 555 may also be in that sampler - overly flavored but strong TH. .My other fave is not available in a sampler - WOW Vanilla - a sharp edged sweet marshmallow/cotton-candy kind of vanilla with a sharp edge. The other vanillas are nothing like it.

Put a WOW carto on a real 3.7v device with those juices and decent nicotine and if you can't feel it then I am clueless. I could not even vape the 18mg in a WOW carto on 3.7. BTW I would use a 510/901 delrin or plastic drip ti on the carto instead of the white end cap so your kips don't get hot (but those fancy handmade twist/swirl/etc drip tips don't fit).

Hey Donna. Been where you are with a mini ecig and it was tough. Hang in there! You CAN do this. The good news is you have a great PV. The atomizers that come with the KGOs, Rivas, EGOs are truly awful. There's not enough umph and satisfaction imo. If you're dripping, a Low Resistance atomizer will give you a warmer, cigarette-like vape. If you're using a cartomizer those also come in low resistance for a stonger, better smoke-like experience. You may need some juice with a stonger nic kick and really good TH. I'm vaping at 6v with a Silver Bullet and using a KGO with a LR 306 atty today. I'm getting a much better hit from my KGO than my SB. The KGO isn't better or worse but the atty is LR and I've got a high-kick juice on board. Hope you find your happy spot quickly.

You are on the right path Donna. Just stick to it and I am sure it will work out.
I also smoked more the 40 years and did not expect to quit on the first day.
The first week was a combination of some (frustrating) vaping and analogs.
Then I got some better PV and it took only a few weeks more until I was smoke free.
Just be patient and with the help with all those awesome guy’s and gal’s here you will be smoke free playing with your grandson in no time.

Riva comes with LR attys. LR cartos are better though - more consistent, need juice less often. Cartos are awesome. For 510 threading Boge are most popular and the 2.0 ohm LR ones are the hot ones. I recommend learning on the standard res. Atomizers just suck so bad when they get gunked up - lose flavor, lose hit. Pain to clean. Every carto has its own fresh atty.

I am just suggesting she try the juices I found out of everything I have bought, that have the most TH.

Is Kgo a real 3.7 device? Or 3.2-ish like Ego? From what I read it is a real 3.7. I am trying one of those clone Ego 3-stage batteries from GotVapes (3.2 (ugh since I use standard res Boge cartos) - 3.7 - 4.2). Feels good fully charged but I just got it last night. It remains to be seen how well it holds the voltage up.

BTW - if you have the a 901 or KR808D-1 threaded Kgo (the Kanger one) then you should not need an adapter to try those cartos I mentioned.

And don't beat yourself up or give up.

Yeah, you might want to step up your game and get a VV mod, or at least a true 3.7v mod with LR atties. I personally get no satisfaction out of anything less than 4.0v...I'm spoiled. Also, like dormouse said, you can up the PG of your juice. You can try a higher nic juice, as higher nic means more TH.

Finally, you can try a menthol juice, menthol can add that extra kick you're looking for. Some people never smoked a menthol cigarette in their life, yet enjoy menthol juice. I used to gag when I tried to smoke menthol cigarettes, yet I keep a bottle of 24mg highly mentholated juice on hand for those times when I need a good slap to the face (it comes in handy a lot in the morning). Cinnamon is another option to up the TH.

Donna,

This is a journey not a destination. I know exactly what your talking about with falling back. It takes everyone on here a different amount of time. Some still smoke a small amount of analogs simply because they want to. It's all on your pace. I definitely suggest you go and look at all of the different technology out there. You will find something that satisfies the cravings!!

I'm still working on it and I'll find it too
