Riva comes with LR attys. LR cartos are better though - more consistent, need juice less often. Cartos are awesome. For 510 threading Boge are most popular and the 2.0 ohm LR ones are the hot ones. I recommend learning on the standard res. Atomizers just suck so bad when they get gunked up - lose flavor, lose hit. Pain to clean. Every carto has its own fresh atty.

I am just suggesting she try the juices I found out of everything I have bought, that have the most TH.

Is Kgo a real 3.7 device? Or 3.2-ish like Ego? From what I read it is a real 3.7. I am trying one of those clone Ego 3-stage batteries from GotVapes (3.2 (ugh since I use standard res Boge cartos) - 3.7 - 4.2). Feels good fully charged but I just got it last night. It remains to be seen how well it holds the voltage up.

BTW - if you have the a 901 or KR808D-1 threaded Kgo (the Kanger one) then you should not need an adapter to try those cartos I mentioned.

And don't beat yourself up or give up.

I have (and love) my EGO PT but it doesn't hit nearly as hard as my KGOs. This is a short, interesting vid on the KGOs power v 18650 AW batts

DorMouse, what about your beloved KR808's, aren't you going to miss them?

I still do about 95% of my vaping with cartomizers and about 90% of my totally vaping is on both slim manual 510+Boge and KR808D-1 manual+V4L WOW carto (with contrasting flavors and I carry both and alternate them). I have little willpower but when I started vaping I was determined not to up my need for TH or nicotine. I actually have worked my nicotine level down to a low level and sometimes I need that extra heat to get a few bigger hotter hits - my Riva (3.7 model) was my first big battery and I bought it for the 2nd drop from 12mg to 6-8mg in case I needed to use LR to stick with the drop. I mostly just use the fat batteries for the occasional big hits and for a portable backup battery. When I was at 18mg I could not vape the juices I listed above on the KR8's 3.7v batteries in a fresh WOW carto - lotta hit. I was a lights smoker and a lot of them, but never a hot heavy dragger. So I know what juices were too hit much for me at 18mg and 3.7v. More than one 24mg vaper has been unable to vape some V4L 24mg WOW juices in V4L WOW cartos on 3.7v.

Re the "Ego" 3-stage - I was lusting for a Little Sister vv (soooo cute though not the best batteries with 10440's) and can't afford it right now so I bought the so-called variable so-called Ego (I am a shop-a-holic plus I was excessively curious about it). I use a KR8 carto for a week or more and Boge cartos for 1.5 weeks plus. near the end they can sometimes use some loosening up and a bit of heat does nicely. And it has lights and is pretty - ooo lights.

-----

Donna - some suggestions. Press the manual button is 1-2 seconds before you start your drag so there is already vapor ready when you start. You can also let it go slightly before the end of your drag. Drag more slowly than a cig into your mouth, then inhale sharply. Smell the vapor occasionally. Try other juices to find ones with aroma and TH that relaxes you. Pay attention to whether tobacco or food flavors leave you antsy and craving an analog - for some people one or the other does. If one kind does, avoid using that kind of flavor for now. If tobacco flavors work for you, try some different types - sweeter ones like RY4 and 555, peppery like Perique, or Dark Vapure which is supposedly a bit chocolaty (or that one I recommended WOWbacco). As an analog-alike Desert Ship from FreedomSMokeUSA worked for me when I vaped strong tobaccos (nutty and a bit pungent, many say smells like a freshly opened pack, and I was NOT allowed to vape it in the car - stunk up my office too AND the hall) After 2 months I could vape any flavor with no analog cravings but in the beginning I discovered I could not. If your atomizers are dirty get new ones then try washing the old ones. Dirty attys degrade the vape a lot. if you have not tried cartos, try them.

Donna, don't give up. Try modifying your expectations- "today I will smoke 1 less than yesterday," "this week I will vape every other cigarette." You can reach any goal if you take baby steps. As for the throat hit, get that high-nic juice, and try different flavors. Backwoods Brew apple tobacco in 28mg has a nice, charbroiled hit! Part of the difference between vaping and smoking is that vaping doesn't "fill you up" the way smoking does- you can't "feel" it in your lungs in the same way. One way to handle that is getting into more physical activity so that the "lung hit" actually starts to become painful and you'll start vaping as a way to avoid it.

The more "practice" you have at changing a behavior the greater the chances are for success.

Measure your success 1 analog at a time. Each one counts. Each one is a success.

We're all in this together and know how difficult kicking cigarettes is. If it was easy, there would be no market for them.

Ah, Donna, don't be disgusted with yourself. You haven't gone anywhere a lot of us haven't gone. You'll find what it takes to keep you off cigarettes, it just takes some time and effort. Keep trying different combinations of juice and bigger batteries until you find a combo that works for you.

Meanwhile, don't beat yourself up for buying cigarettes. Do what you have to do to get through the day while you experiment.

Donna, you've had some great advice here. I'll just add that the only people I've EVER found to be 'pathetic' are the ones who brag about how great they are and how wonderful their lives are because of how far advanced they are above us normal humans. We humans aren't perfect, and wishing won't make it so.

What I read is a person who knows where they wish to go and are taking positive steps to get there! If it were anyone else but yourself, you'd be congratulating them and proud of them for starting along a great path. Give yourself the same forgiveness (not that it is called for in this case, not at all) and encouragement you'd give a friend.

I AM proud of you! You are just fine and making real progress. Way to go!!! I bet your daughters and grandbaby are proud of you, too.

hmmmmm question, when you smoke that cig, does it even TASTE good? I did the look for baccy flavor too. Then found FLAVORED vape.......um that's what kicked ME out. I think it's natural to want to start with Tobacco flavors after all this is about ANALOGS right???? Or is it? I think this is about alternative TO analogs and I have YET to find the RULE that states our vape has to TASTE like a cig!!! Believe you me Donna, in a few months when your body has kicked out the OTHER 3000 chemicals and you can TASTE again, you'll be damn glad your vape does NOT taste like an analog. I suggest trying some flavors :0)

Just my 2 cents

Has anyone mentioned nicotine levels? Donna, which nicotine level are you vaping on?
In the beginning, it helps to vape on a higher nicotine level than your cigarrettes to keep your cravings away.
As you get used to vaping, then you can gradually lower the level of nicotine.
By then you won't even be able to stand the smell of cigarrette.
Good luck!
