"It's pretty good, for the price..."

I've been researching for about a week now, before I settle on what I am going to purchase, but I keep coming across the words "it's pretty good, for the price". These words are incredibly annoying to me because it doesn't really answer the question as to "what's the best", it just lets everyone know that they are okay with what they settled with or could afford (which isn't a bad thing, it just doesn't answer the questions).

There isn't really a question here, this is more of a mini-rant and to get my new member requirements out of the way :).

Not knowing what question you asked just accept peoples opinions , pretty good for the price means just that . There IS NO best , there is only best for you.

I haven't asked a question, this is in reference to just about any question ever asked in relation on what to purchase, which isn't limited to anything.

I'd have to disagree with you about there not being a best, what's best may not be for everyone (due to budget, preference, etc), but there is always a best (as in the superior product).

The problem is your definition of the "best" changes.....and each person has a different definition. Another is we are not all looking for the same elements in our equipment or in our juice. Yes...we are looking for a "good" vape......and there may be other things that are common but still....that best thing is elusive. Its like that quality element the protagonist got so involved with in Zen and the art of Motorcycle maintenance.....the search for a universal or root definition drove him mad.

Thanks for all of your responses. What I have found is that everyone's response to questions are just guides to figuring out what you should buy.

Particularly, what I have been looking for is my first mod, I think I have settled on two:

- Seven 22
- XPV DNA-30D

Just a few more days of research on everything I need and I'll be placing orders, provided that I can find a place that have these devices in stock.

never heard of them before ... however, I hope you track them down, and they are not "just pretty good for the price"

Individual vaping preferences are so widely varied that there would be no such thing as a "best" PV even if price was no consideration.

There are two more 26650 VW devices you might want to consider. YiHi chips have had a generally positive reception and their SX350 chip has more features than the DNA 30. However, unlike Evolv and the DNA 30, YiHi is a new player and the chips used in these devices are both new.

The Seven 30 should be shipping this week. Coupon code 50OFF to get the price of $94.05.

The BCModz SX350 V1 26650 VW Mod has the YiHi SX350 chip which has a buck circuit that steps down power and has a manual bypass mode. The DNA chips don't have those features.

Still not really true , many people think the Reo is best , many people think the Provari is best , two very different devices and both are considered top shelf .

There is no best. Period.

I love my MVP2's. I highly recommend them. For the price, they're very good.

BUT:
If you need a removable battery, they're not for you.
If you want to sub-ohm they're not for you.
If you want something that looks like a cigarette, they're not for you.
If you can afford a ProVari or a Reo, the MVP may not be for you.
If you only want to buy stuff that's made in the US the MVP is not for you.
If you don't like the looks of it it's not for you.

The concept that there is a "best" (of anything) is nonsense.

What's the best automobile?
What's the best seafood?
What's the best TV show?

Different people like different things. You'd probably be better off trying to figure out what the "best" mod/manufacturers are in each type of category than trying to decide if one particular thing reigns over all - e.g., best bottom-feeders; best DNA30s, best VV and/or VWs; best mechs. Expanding on twgboneheads analogy, that's like asking who makes the best pick-up, who makes the best luxury car, who makes the best hybrid - all of which are reasonable questions with useful answers depending on your needs. But one mod will never be "the best" - it completely depends on what purpose you're using it for and what you value and care about. Good looks? Sub-ohming? Ease of use? Perceived prestige? Add to that the fact that depending on what atomizer you choose a mod could be great or mediocre, and it gets even more complicated. Poke around, figure out what's important to you, and the "best" for YOU should become pretty clear.
