But I've done it ! Twice lol. The first time, I caught myself while having said difficulty getting wires into posts. Then I slapped myself when I saw why ! Then today, I did it again. Was having difficulty getting wires into posts, but I prevailed and reveled in my success. Then I looked at it and said a few bad words %#**%# ! I had already trimmed the wires and everything too ! Back to the spool of wire I went. Oh, well nothing like getting plenty of practice winding coils.

Considering (until 3 days ago) I've never been anywhere close to building coils or even using RBAs (or RDAs) I think I'm doing pretty good. I can't be the only one that has been a dork, or at least admitted it :)

Heres to good times ahead !

What atty do you have?

I'm guessing RM2. You'll be up to speed in no time Steelgirl. There is a wealth of info here and lots of reonaughts who are happy to help...just ask. In keeping with another post that muzichead and I responded to: Be sure to test fire your coils (by burst firing them before wicking) and making sure you coil is firing evenly and always check your ohms.

Oh, yes all my coils get checked before I put on my Reo. It's just funny that I fought and faught to get legs into wrong side of posts UGH!

And yes, I feel sure that building the coil, inserting cotton will come very naturally in no time. I agree, the Reo is a great starter RBA, from what I've seen on you tube vids.

One thing I have noticed new people doing. Is not firing the cool before wicking. You can either fire the cool dry with no wick or take a lighter or torch to the wire before building. The wires (every one I have bought) has an oil on it. This oil is meant to protect the wire from oxidation and the process it goes through to become that diameter. At first I thought it was oil from my fingers. But after doing a build with nitrile gloves on, its not.
