This vivi nova has me about to pull my hair out. I filled it with MBV's Vanilla Cupcake (12mg. 70% VG 30% distilled H20), left it to sit overnight, attached it to my ProVari Mini, set the voltage to 2.9 hit it and.... Burning dog turds. That is the best way to describe it.

I tried the same juice on a drip atty and it's delicious, so it isn't the juice.

I've read through the forums on the known problems with the vivi novas, and tried all the suggestions to no avail. So far I've tried:

Washing the head thoroughly and letting it dry, unravelling wicks, making sure the silicone cap isn't compressing the wicks, and priming the coil with a drop of juice. None of it made any difference.

The Vivi has a 1.8 ohm head on it, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to get a decent vape out of this thing!

Any ideas?

I started with a vivi nova mini tank. Then I bought pro tank. The menthol flavor I am using was really pronounced in the pro-tank. Problem I am having with the protank is that I don't quite like the extreme air flow compared to the nova. I then did the cheesecloth wick on the protank and HOLY MOLY did it intensify the flavor.

As much as I like the looks of the protank, the airflow and the heaviness of it on the ego t2 batteries seemed to annoy me.

So I did the cheesecloth wick to one of the 2.8 heads and that made the nova MUCH better with the menthol flavor. I think I may try the cheesecloth wick on the 2.4 head and see what happens.

I bought a protank and a smok vivi nova yesterday at a local shop. They both leaked like crazy at the battery connection. Took the vivi back today and got it replaced but did some research. It has the nipple tip under the drip tip so obviously it isn't a real vivi. It works fine and this one isn't leaking, but I know it isn't a vision Vivi. Thought I was thorough enough ahead of time, but apparently not. The nipple type types are the dead give away. Just ordered an authentic Vision vivi from aquavaporcig for 12 and change with shipping using coupon code switch.

As far as the Protank is concerned I am unimpressed personally. I am having the gurgling and leaking when the juice gets low which is a pretty common problem. I know many complain the draw is too airy but mine is the opposite, too tight. Haven't done much with it yet. Probably replace the head with one from one of my t3s that hasn't given me trouble and just keep it full. At this point I prefer the t3s to the protank but the protank looks nicer.
