When I left the scene the Joye eGo was more or less the best out there, at least in performance per dollar. I'm wondering what kind of wonderful things have happened in the world of e-cigs since I left.
I have been on and off analogs for most of this eight month period. I finally pulled out my eGo again and drained all my batteries, but couldn't find my charger! I'm currently vaping from a jerry-rigged eGo atomizer hooked up to a switch and four AA batteries. I should get my charger this week though...

I'd say in that time period the biggest changes are the number of different type cartos available and the biggest game changer to me variable voltage. I'd recommend picking up a Ego Twist battery to get you started with vv.

Cartos and attys are more of a preference thing, I use CE2 Clearomizers mostly but good ole Boge which was probably around when you left are still a great choice and my favorite filler type carto.

Yes, I remember a buzz about VV. It was only available in mods before I left, I think. I need a recommendation for some good Attys for my eGo. I have some LR attys, but they are either poorly made or LR just isn't my thing. The attys that came with the my eGo were quite good. I'll have to go through my old posts and see where I got the kit.

Any recommendations?

The 2 I use the most are the Resurrector cartos and the CE3 clearos. The CE3s are my favorite right now as there is no guessing when they're running low. You do have to fill them with a syringe though (included in the box) so that's the one downside. Here's the links:

BTW, spent almost 2 years at Kadena AB in the early 70's...

    mmmm...Frankenvaper!

I agree with other...The eGo Twist is changing things a good bit in the vaping community...a very affordable variable volt device that can be paired with something like the Stardust Clearomizer for great vapor production and taste.
