Hello, e-cigarette-forums. I have been vaping for a few months now and have found this web site invaluable for learning the ins and out of e-cigs. I am finally getting around to joining because I want to contribute to the community so that the collective resources available here can continue to be expanded. Allow me to tell you a bit about myself:

I am electrical engineering graduate student at a US university. I have been tinkering with the e-cigs since I purchased my first disposable Gammuci from a gas station a few months ago. I have several designs for switching circuits that don't use exotic FETs, votage regulators or huge switches - just a few transistors from Radio Shack that will fit inside an KR808 battery case. The circuit can be customized for a variety of source voltages - I have tested it at 3.7v all the way up to 9v with my KR808 carts. The voltage drop across the cartomizer (and thus the power dissipation...) can also be customized by changing a single (the only...) resistor.

I have a few other projects currently in the works: a reactive load switch that will help maintain vapor production while the battery is low, and a user friendly method for reusing the batteries from disposable cigarettes (which can be gotten for $9 near me.)

I hope to be able to contribute my knowledge to the forums, especially in the modding section. If anyone is interested in any of my projects, or has an electrical problem that they are stuck on, drop me a message and I will be happy to reply!

Happy vaping!
