Living alone and working only among 2 others(non-smokers) I haven’t really had any encounters with the analog smoking populous since I began vaping….

Today was to be my "test"…Headed to the local Indian casino looking to hit the big one today…Strolling through the place while vaping… the only few double takes I got were from security folks…Guess they are trained to be observant….Passing seamlessly through the smoking and non-smoking sections, I settled down at a 25 cent double diamond slot machine…

My newly discovered sense of smell immediately identified two analog smokers in close proximity…One…who despite being a few machines away….was sending a plume of what I believe to be Salem menthol in my direction….carried along by the strong air handling systems these places have…

With my trusty eGo in hand I tried to ignore the unpleasant smell…Since the only thing I was burning through was money…I surprisingly started to find myself becoming annoyed by the scent…

I immediately realized what it felt like to be on the other side of the fence…I had now become like the lady I had dismissed months ago…who almost amusingly to me... would continuosly wave her hand in my direction in a feeble attempt to fend off my smoky assault….I even started thinking about the effect this uncaring persons second hand smoke was having on my newly refreshed lungs…

Talk about an eye-opener….While I could have easily just retreated to the non-smoking section, I stayed at my "lucky" machine and gave thanks that my time there was only to be temporary…What began as a hopeful promise of riches beyond my belief…ended a few hours later being down the equivalent of about 2 bottles of my favorite juice…

I took a short walk around outside before getting into my car…as a sort of cleansing process…The ride home was spent musing about how different things had become…and how thankful I am…

That is an interesting post. I still feel that people should be "allowed" to smoke analogs if they so choose, but if PV's are truly the "less damaging" alternative that I hope they are, it would be nice if everyone knew of this option. For me, I smoked analogs more because I enjoyed the "ritual" of it all, and the "flavor" and buzz (which were somewhat imperceptible for me after 20 years). The PV's for me afford the luxury of being less noticable to those around me. Although I never smoked in places that were not already overpowered by others doing the same, and I never smoked in front of anyone except a few people I hung out with who also smoked, I know that the odor on my clothes, in my car, and in my home were noticeable to my family and friends. No one ever said anything about it, but I guess they didn't know what to say since they never saw me smoking. I haven't been around or near anyone smoking an anaolg since I quit, so I guess it will be interesting to find out what my senses think of it when it happens. Almost one week without an analog myself, and I'm loving vaping!
