Cartotank flooding is almost always due to operator error...there is nothing inherent in the design to promote flooding. Either the cartomizer has too many holes in it or the holes are are too big. I punch my own and they never flood...ever.

As for keeping a separate tank for every juice (and assuming you are indeed speaking about cartotanks) it depends on the juice and to some degree the tank itself.

Some complex flavors will linger in a plastic tank so I recommend getting some Pyrex tanks (IB tanked and Phiniac are two good sources) simple flavors not so much.

For what it's worth, I keep four tanks in rotation with a different flavor in each. When I decide to change flavors in a particular tank I usually just syphon out any remaining juice and then refill with the new flavor. If my cartomizer is fairly new I'll just leave it in otherwise I replace it with a new one.

So, in general, if you're into complex juices like tobacco, dessert and coffee flavors you may want to keep a few tanks around so you don't always have to do a lot of cleaning when changing flavors. If you like simple flavors (fruit, melon, etc.) you may be able to get by with one or two tanks.

As for menthol, I use it quite a bit and I've never had a problem with it overpowering any new flavors (although the first few vapes may have a distinct menthol taste to them but it doesn't last).

I use an AGA T2 atomizer tank. When I clean it I simply take it off my ProVari and run warm tap water over it. I'm talking inside and out I don't even remove the SS wick or coil. After drying it as best I can I pulse the coil to check for hot spots and further dry the wick. When I'm satisfied with the coil heating up, I refill and vape away.

Only problem ive had is that some flavors such as sour or fireball ect. Have some type of acidity to them I am guessing and they will eat up or fog up or I have herd even crack plastic tanks.. OMG ... right? I sometimes find out the hard way when vendors offer no warning. I recently won a free 30ml bottle of some juice called grenada made by next level vapors.. anxious to try it I quickly filled an evod and started vaping the anise/black licorice flavor. The juice was good but about 10min later I noticed fogging in my tank and was immediately angry bc I mnew what had happened. Now every flavor I put in the tank has the anise taste and over about 15 minutes it overpowers any other flavor.

The tank has been washed with.... warm water, vodka, and vinegar even changed coil. Nothing will fix this tank it is ruined. If your using plastic tanks then sooner or later this will probably happen so extra tanks is very necessary

i want to add one more reason :)

bad o-rings/airleak in the tank.

i have two tanks i am not currently using for this reason....and have since purchased a tank tool to keep from destroying future o-rings :D

I have a vivi nova mini dedicated to extreme ice from MBV, but that's not because I am worried about it tainting other flavors, it's because I just love to vape it every hour or two.
I have a few in rotation, I usually just rinse in hot water, shake em off, quick burn to the coil if necessary and then refill with the next flavor. Sometimes those first few draws have some of the old flavor in them, and sometimes that's not a bad thing!

You might even get to the point where you start putting a few drops of menthol into some other flavors, just to see what happens. Don't be worried about doing it wrong, mixing juices can be awesome fun - even when you do it by accident.
