I've got two dead SBs.... help!

So my brother's silver bullet died. I told him it was probably the centre pin so he tried to adjust it but accidentally popped the o-ring out so he brought it over to me to fix
I got it back in and it still wouldn't fire. Checked the hot spring and it looked ok too. Thinking it might be the battery, I swapped his battery straight into my silver bullet. Now my SB is dead

Both hot springs "bounce" the battery when you drop it in the base. Any ideas what it could be?
I'm not in CONUS so getting Altsmoke/cddz to look at it is slightly more difficult.

My BSB is only 2 months old too

Just for information sake, we both use protected Trustfire Flame 18650s.
The one that came out of his mod was about 1 month old.

The first unit is not working because the center post o-ring is most likely torn. The mystery is yours, not sure why or how a battery would have caused it not to work. Did you try the attie that caused his center post to be pushed down on your SB?

I didn't try his atty. I was vaping a j-tank at the time and didn't remove it. Just swapped his battery into mine and it gave one weak half fire and stopped.

I put some marker pen on the bottom of the carto and screwed it on and I can see it's making contact.

Hot spring looks ok.

And I popped the black plug out of the head. The positive seems to be still connected to the post (although I can't see for sure with the sticky tape over it) and inside looks fine to me athough you may be able to see something different?!

I'm thinking maybe his centre post was fine and whatever has "happened" to mine is what originally "happened" to his?

EDIT: and basics, I've also tried new cartos and batteries in mine

I've removed the o-ring from the orange SB again.
It's not torn but has a couple of nicks in it where you can see it's been poked. Nothing that I think would affect it.

There are two halves to that insulator. That one is shot. Would you be able to send them to me? Which vendor did you get them from?

I'll look into postage after the Easter break and PM you. Might cost a fortune from Australia.
