Don't worry - this thing can be a hobby as well as (imho) a possible life-saver. I'm not making any health claims about e-cigs, but I do know that tobacco is very likely to do you harm.

I think this is at work for me too. I've quit smoking so many times, with patches, hypnosis, cold turkey, with friends, on my own. I've always have this sense of tragic, inevitable, eventual failure. I've know as soon as my will power gave out, I'd be back to smoking and hating myself for it.
How different vaping is! My only fear is that I'll somehow run out of supplies, be caught without an ecig and no place to get one.
I can relate, Liz! (I like how you added the exclamation mark to your name
) I never thought I could quit smoking completely. Vaping, however, is the Holy Grail I've been combing the world for.
It's an addiction of sorts... even buying all the stuff is just the beginning... you'll be taking up modding soon, I bet! I've already built my own battery box, which works much better than the stock batteries. There's always cosmetic mods and new flavors, too. Vaping is just plain immersive.

I am amazed that I have managed to stick to the basics (so far)- the 510 (with passthru) and a couple of juice flavors. I do so love collections of "treasures" and have several. Perhaps it's only a matter of time... I still feel like I have a lot to learn here. I'd like to try and stay a bit practical and get things that can be used with one another, for the most part anyway.
The first time I am caught with no working e-cig may well change all that.

wait until my husband sees the credit card bill! he heard a commercial and thinks they are FREE! when was the last time anything was free except for L Ron Hubbards book, and that isn't "free" either, once they convert you! At least I am not handing over my life's savings, oh I forgot, don't have a life's savings
You folks who are working have the perfect excuse to buy a few more e-cigs...one for work (with carger and juice), one for the car (with car charger and juice) - And maybe buy a few extras and bury them in secret locations around your local area...just to be on the safe side...

Ecigs - the only hobby I know where Santa is actually the mail carrier and Christmas is never on Sunday.
The first month is the hardest. I think I hit over $300 bucks. It was a trial by fire... and Visa ...and Discover ...and PayPal. I'm down to about $55-65 bucks a month and I'm really in the black right now. The biggest money saver is to find a model that you love and satisfies you. Focus on that model and try to find a dealer who can supply parts and juice. Limiting myself to one order a month has really helped.
Next month I plan on getting a 901 and 801 adapter for my 510 batteries. At least that'll save me the trouble of chargers and battery build up. I've got a fair stockpile of equipment (nothing bizarre) but enough to see me through the next few months.
My biggest enemy is juice companies. Vermont Vapor. Bear Juice. Heck, I haven't even tried Totally Wicked yet! I want to try them all! I'm into DIY and could easily stop tomorrow and try to limit myself to my top 10 favorite flavors (see I can't even stop at 5) but it's hard. If there's 10 flavors I really love, there's got to be 100 flavors I haven't even tried! And just because you've tried menthol doesn't mean you've tired everybody's menthol! How did I smoke the same brand and flavor for years! It's beyond me.

I stocked up--got over forty attys. Between my two models, I got 18 or so batteries. Hopefully I'm set for years.
My biggie now is making mods from dead batteries. I got my NicoStick which uses 3.7 batteries--this I use most of the time when I'm away from home. Then there is the two mods that are powered by Wall Warts--these I use at home.
The factory batteries I don't use much, but still like having them because there are times when I just prefer the auto function. I got plenty so I don't forsee having to buy any for at least a year or two or three for four, etc.
Anyway, I did go a bit crazy at first, but now I'm at the stage of not having to buy much at all.
Of course, the 501 looks interesting. So does the Chuck. Maybe, later, after Xmas, but I've shut myself off until then.
