He never owned a provari. Not one mention on what was wrong with it. And provape has bad customer service? If you call then after 3 years of use, of course they aren't going to fix it for free. I could call them and say I threw it through a wall and they would still fix it for their nominal fee. He's just a provari hater.

Constant dry hits, then it might get in the groove by the end of the day, & start all over again.
That's why I usually didn't take it anywhere, inhaling like crazy, no vapor production...at all!
I sent it back to Provari twice, they said the same thing on the phone & e-mails...user error.
I tried everything, brand new batts, fully charged, thinning the vg more. It was working with thicker vg on the Cisco atts. (btw Everclear is what Cisco rec. for thinning, a drop or 2, it's like whap!)
Provari was nice the 1st round, but after that, no! I asked for a replacement, that's all, a product that works for the money I spent. It got ugly.
Also, during the few times I got it vaping very nicely, I'd take a hit, set it down, red light went on, saying it was set to 5.3. I did not touch that button after taking a hit, it just reset itself...a lot!
Given that, it was difficult to appreciate.

This is a joke right? Dry hits? Blaming a device for dry hits is like blaming the glass because you put sour milk in it. LOL. This is a joke. If not, wow! Really?

Provape can't fix dry hits! That would be whoever build your coil/wick. It also depends on the juice wicking properly.

I was ready to give you a whole lot of sympathy and hugs for your loss. I absolutely love my Provaris and keep close tabs on both of them. I would be utterly distraught if I lost one of them.

Still everyone is different.

If you are having dry hits, have you tried the carto tank combo? Never a dry hit once you prime the carto properly.

...

So it Isn't the Glass after all. Interesting.

But that Kinda Makes sense. Seeing that my Frig hasn't worked for Weeks.

I think it was a dud anyway, always had problems. Had it 3yrs., so I got my use or uselessness out of it.

Provape was of no help, always chalked it up to user error. They put their fingers in their ears & chant la la la, if you insinuate it may be their product.

So, I don't want to replace.

What I would like is some advice on something smaller, or at least slimmer & lighter, that will handle vg. I do thin the vg, I'm vaping it now on an ego with a Cisco atty. (Wish I could buy them elsewhere.)

I do like a big cloud & was able to produce it on the Provari on several occasions.

It may turn up, but, other than the fact that it was so difficult to work with, I still want another back up. Ego's are ok, but...ya' know.

Thank you!

your Provari is not lost ... just like many abused animals, he's just wondered off and has been adopted by some loving vaper :vapor:

He's probably cozied up on the couch right now watching his favourite vape videos ... his new owner is probably enjoying a nice frosty beer to quench that ever satisfying vape his new best friend Mr. Lost Provari is providing

Provaris are never lost for long.

Maybe Yours and thymetraveler's ran off Together to Start a Life on their Own?

Ya.....ya.... that's it ran off together to produce some mini's.

I have left my 2 standard size ProVari alone for long periods of time - no minis produced yet....:p

The Vapor Shark DNA 30 is a small, lightweight regulated VW device that has more power than your Provari.

If you are using a Cisco HH.357 built for VG juice the likelihood is that your dry hits are from the HH.357 not being able to wick fast enough for the vapor production that you desire. There is likely nothing wrong with your atty nor your Provari but it sounds very much like they are probably not the right tools to achieve the type of vape you are wanting.

If it's huge clouds you are after you will need to learn how to build rebuildable dripping atomizers. The Vapor Shark DNA 30 would be a good device to use on which to learn. That may well be enough to satisfy you for the type of vape you are after. However, if it isn't you will have a safe playground on which to learn how the relationship between coils, wicks, airflow and chimneys affect the quantity of vapor and taste before moving on to something more powerful which requires some very serious, time consuming battery safety study.

Sounds like your topper and juice. But things you can do are make sure your contacts are clean and apply some Noalox to the threads.
