I've made my decision to order my V4L, but I have some more questions.

Ok, so I'm going to go with Vapor King Ultimate XL Kit, 2 WOW juices (nuport and Cappuccino) and a 5 count of WOW Vapor King Blank Cartomizers. I want to get everything I need to keep me occupied and not have to make a mad dash because I didn't get something I should have.
*Is what I selected going to be enough for a month or two?
*I've gotten the 24 mg, but I smoke 2 packs a day, is that strong enough or not?
Thanks,
Jessy

Yeah, if you are going to get into vaping, you need to stock up. Nothing worse than doing good with your ecig, and then running out of something, or have equipment failure. May I suggest a third XL battery, and possibly another charger if you can swing it. Maybe another 5 pack of carto's(try Electronic Cigarettes By Bloog as well, their carto's rock out). Good luck!!

The XL kit comes with 2 batts,a PT and 2 chargers. You should be good for a bit.Get about 3 boxes of carts and 3 juices. That should get you through for a couple of weeks or a month, then you can reorder what you like.I enjoy the sampler packs of prefilled cartos, you may want to try one of those for when you need to grab and go.Its much easier and they are refillable.

I chose these flavors b/c I'm a menthol smoker and I am completely addicted to latte's and coffee lol
Cappuccino Wow Vapor Juice
Espresso Wow Vapor Juice
SMILIN's Special Menthol Nobacco Juice
Vanilla Nobacco Juice
3 5packs of cartos
and the starter kit that comes with a sampler pack of cartos too. I think I'm set. Now I'm getting all excited lol

You smoke 2 packs of what kind of cigs? If 2 packs of ultralights, 24mg will probably be too much. I assume you plan to vape at least as much as you smoked? I smoked 1.5-2 PAD of lights and was able to start on 18mg and I vaped about 1.5-2 PAD worth of it.

When you say 5 count of blank cartos - do you mean 1 5-pack? That will not last 2 months. When you start out you might singe a one or more before you get the hang of filling etc. And I can get a week or a bit more out of a carto but I am vaping 2 ecigs. So I am really getting 1/2 week out of each - I could probably use one longer but they get a bit weaker. If you mean you got 5 packs of cartos, I recommend making one of those a pack of Coolcarts so you can try them. And get a delrin or plastic drip tip, either there or elsewhere (KR808D-1 drip tip - I got mine at LiteCigUSA.net). Occasionally a carto is hot and the drip tip makes a great cool and comfortable mouthpiece, and is also real easy to pull off for adding juice (don't drip into it - the juice would probably air for the air channel)

I recommend manual batteries especially with cartomizers and refilling. Safer from juice leaks (not dependent on a drag sensor in the threaded end of the battery), less work, more control of your drag, and won't turn on accidentally from wind or vibration.

I believe you will be offered your choice of a 5-pack of prefilled cartos at the end of your order (since you bought a kit) but they don't seem to list all of their packs where you get that choice. I don't know if the WOW samplers are on the list and blank cartos were not on the list when I bought my kit there. If they offer WOW Vanilla cartos they are pretty good and your cappucino would be an interesting refill for them - it would be a vanilla cappucino for a while then eventually be all cappucino.

And if you can use a charger at work, consider a spare charger cable. You could use a computer's USB. I ended up finally buying 4-port 2amp USB to AC adapters - one for home and one for work, so I can charge up to 4 different batteries (or 3 batteries and a PCC) on one brick. (I bring 2 PVs to work) I got mine at NewEgg - Rosewill 4-post USB to AC Travel (they used to have a US-only one but now just carry the one with US and other AC plugs). And there is one from Walmart that people recommend.

I think you will like it!! I love my V4L KR8. I like it so much I started using blank cartos on my 510 too. I eventually went from tobaccos to vanillas and chocolates with a bit of tobacco. I usually have Vanilla in my KR8 carto (or some prefilled flavor being refilled with vanilla) and in the 510 carto a mix of WOWbacco or FreedomSMokeUSA Cocoa w/ Backwoods Brew Casablanca (a complex Turkish blend w/ some cocoa).

When you first fill one, fill it well and let it sit for a bit so the juice will soak into all of the stuffing, else you run a chance of singeing it. I usually lay it or rotate it different ways to get the juice to all sides.

And some people are successful and cleaning them and getting more use out of them. I have a little pile saved up and will be trying cleaning soon.

I smoke lights

Yup, got the manual

I chose the coffee sampler, the choices weren't too abundant lol

I hope this helps with the confusion :)

jsm - I tried the vanilla nobacco as prefills and did not like it as much as the WOW Vanilla. Be sure to check the comments on the various juices and prefilled cartos. The better flavors generally have the best comments.

And you are going to have fun I think!

And if you haven't seen this yet - this video shows a guy filling a V4L carto (apparently back when the caps were harder to get off and the stuffing was looser). I pop the cap easily with a plain unbent paperclip end and I rotate the carto when filling because the stuffing seems tighter and absorbs a bit slower now. And I hold a tissue on the threaded end of the carto. When I am done, I make sure the threaded end is dry or I wipe it, I puff into the threaded end with the open end pointed down into the tissue to clear the air channel. Then if any juice is stubbornly pooled above the stuffing I may use the tip of a tissue to clean that up.

The part where he straightens the air channel is optional - I do that only if I cannot see light through the air channel - if the air channel gets crooked the drag can be real hard and straightening it can help you get more use out of a carto.

It IS exciting! And you don't really have to charge batteries 8 hours before the first use. Your V4L batteries may arrive 1/2 charged. If so, stick one on the charger and fire up the other!

Press the button in 1/2 to 1.5 seconds before the start of your drag, and let it up 1-2 seconds before the end of your drag. Drag easy and try small drags at first.

And if you find the juice is too strong for you (in nic or intensity), you can cut it with some VG. You can buy some 99.x% USP Glycerin at Walmart (near the rubbing alcohol) - that is VG. And maybe they would sell you an empty eyedrops bottle or you could get any bottle and a dropper.

Go over to the V4L subforum and see whats going on.They have a daily contest, just pick a #from 1-500.Ya never know, you might win!!

Nope..sorry Keyz....it's mine...lol (kidding.....i can dream)

I was a pack a day lights smoker and 24mg is too strong for me...I find 18 is a good spot (for most flavors). If the hit from a certain flavor is too strong, I either take smaller hits or hold it before I inhale.

As a now user of V4L.....I can honestly say....what you have heard is sooo true....I love it! It is better than my eGo (IMO). You will not be disappointed. As a matter of fact, I finally let my hubby try mine and I will be ordering one for him too.....

Congrats on an excellent purchase and welcome!

I'm a big Redditer and saw this in a post last night, and I got so intrigued researching this new fangled e-cig that it kept me up ALL night lol I haven't been to bed in 2 days now. I'm a spontaneous person, and this got my switch. I never really wanted to quit before now either because I knew I wasn't strong willed enough. I'm allergic to the patches too. But, if this works, it will save me $300 a month. I'm a single mom, and thats a BIG difference!

jsm, I just passed this information along to another member that is thinking about ordering a starter kit and thought you might try it as well. When my son ordered his starter kit he found a coupon code that saved him 33% so here is a link you can see if any of these coupon codes are valid.

vapor4life.com Coupon Codes (11 available) - Tjoos

Welcome to the forum and good luck in your adventure to quit smoking. Vaping really does work!
