I've ordered the Joye Super eGo B - anyone have experience with it?

I'm on my 7th day with my new type B, on the second day I had to raise the wick height to keep it from flooding. 2 days later I had to raise the wick again. I might be expecting more out of the type B than it can produce but the wick adjustment may not need done as long as I blow out the atty once a day. It's not perfect and aside from the wick being made up of thicker strands and the tank being bigger it is not as maintenance-free as I had hoped. I might switch to mega cartos before the first atty cleaning is due.

I bought type B's after I first bought A's. I like the larger tank and the tops are easier to get off.
When you say wick height, do you mean the location of the top part near the puncture thingy or how
much wick is sitting on top of the burner? How do you know it is getting flooded? What are the symptoms?
And, I had read about people blowing out the atty's each night. What does that do for it? If you do blow
it out, that kind of suggests to me that you might end up with a dry wick when you next vape. Or, do you
prime it first thing in the morning?

I thought I'd use it for awhile before updating.
I like the tank a lot better than the super ego, but I can't
say I like the whole ego experience other than the batteries.
I find that the atomizers get funky tasting very quickly. I also realized
that as a newbie, my favorite juice "Turkish Tobacco" is what was killing
the atty's so quickly. I'm not sure if it's because it's too thick or what.
But, it tastes fantastic in a clean atty, then it turns them all burnt tasting
within no more than a day. It's really sad. I've had better luck with other juice,
but my main complaint with the tank is that it starts to get bitter and slightly
burnt tasting very quickly ... no more than two days for me. So then I have the
choice of throwing out the atty or disassembling the thing and going through
that whole cleaning regiment. I've only done that a few times so far, but it's
just not what I'd hoped for.
I noted someone else had posted a place to buy the wick material, so I ordered
some of that. It seems the wick gets as funky as the burner.
So, here's the big question and I think I already know the answer...
Is there no ecig out there that I can run for a full day without filling up
or recharging, puts out large amount of vapor (so far ego t-tank does all that),
and that will stay tasting good for weeks without having
to mess with or replace the atomizer?
I'd even be happy if the manufacturer would make an atomizer
that was designed to be easily cleaned or that had cheap
replacement parts like that wick/pin assembly. I realize they
want you to toss your atomizer and buy more, but joye should be selling
those pin assemblies complete with wicks for maybe twenty-five
to at most fifty cents a piece. And, it should be easier to install.
Yes, I do want the world. :)

yes there is....its called go-go or i-go. you can get both of them from nhaler dot com. i think cigeasy also sells the go-go

Hi mn-puffer, I googled them a bit. It seems to me that folks experience the same issues that I'm having with the ego. Lots of talk of cleaning, adjusting the wick, etc. burnt taste, etc.
I already switched from greensmoke to Joye superego to ego t-tank.
It may be that gogo or igo's might be more reliable, but I'd have to see a bunch of folks jump in
and say yeah, they're a log better than t-tank to make me buy all the stuff again.
Thanks for you note. I'll keep it in mind if I can't get these t-tanks to work for me.
With all of our technology in 2011, it seems to me that all of these are
designed to fail so that you buy more. But, if you're clever enough to get around their
problems, then you can spend less $ if you want to mess around with mods and weird cleaning
techniques, etc. I'm on week 5 without an analog and I enjoy vaping. But, I might just
quit vaping too since it's such a pain in the .... and not much savings if you have
to buy atty's all the time.
That these technologies are crappy might actually do me a favor in the long run.

If the wick itself is positioned too low the fibers splay out beyond the heating coil and soaks the the base of the atty and juice leaks through the air holes onto the battery and produces a gurgling sound when you take a drag. In a perfect world the wick only is in contact with the heating coil.

I now blow out the juice from the atty and put it on a folded paper towel and set it aside for the night. The atty burns hotter when it is not saturated with juice.

Jeff, regarding what you want, I'm sure it's coming but, this is immature technology. It's going to be developing for some time. I'm afraid what you want isn't out there. It's a sad fact that to varying degrees every vaping device is finicky and trouble prone. It hasn't had the centuries to develop it took to get to the cigarettes we all have a love hate relationship with.

I also just received the Super Ego B, and have been loving it so far. It is different than the Tank e-cigs. It has a regular cartridge, it's just that the cartridge material will hold about 2 ml of liquid, which is quite a bit. The "B" just means the atomizer is cylindrical shaped (as opposed to cone-shaped, which is Type A), and so the cartridges that fit Type B holds even more fluid than the cartridges that fit the cone-shaped.

The only issue I have had with it is that it will hold SO MUCH liquid, that I can't fill it to capacity (even when it will absorb much more juice), because inadvertently throughout the day, the juice that's absorbed in the cartridge winds up leaking back out on the atomizer and flooding it, or even leaking through the airholes by the battery. It just holds so much fluid.

But I can go all day without refilling, and I'm a fairly heavy vapor :)

Prior to this, I was using the KR808's (yes, I got ripped off too by the big name brands...wish I had done my research as well). I was still smoking analogs with these. But since I've begun using the Ego style e-cigs, I don't even have cravings. I was a 1-to-2/pack day smoker.

Thanks for explaining that to me. I bought some of that wick material and tried to make my own, but it didn't work. From what you're saying, I realize I made the wick too long.
I cleaned about six of my atty's last night as I was down to one working atty. This working atty is lasting much longer than others. I think I'm seeing what folks are saying about dark juices. The one I'm using right now is doublemint recommended by another vap'r. I like it and the nice think is it appears to be kinder to atty's.
Knowing full well that I was about to re-pollute one of my cleaned atty's, I filled up a B-tank with my favorite "Turkish Tobacco". It's an atty-killer, but it is so darned good. I didn't realize how much I missed that deep flavor. It's more like a cigar, but is so rich.
Thanks again for the help. Really appeciate it.

I appreciate you being frank about it. I'll just have to adjust to the reality of it or drop it altogether.
I love it when it works though.

Hey Wolfpack, I understand completely. I had bad luck with the super ego, but I'm pretty sure it was primarily due to the turkish tobacco juice that I happened to have recommended to me early on. I absolutely love it, but it appears to kill atty's within no more than two days. Figures...
Interesting note about the flooding. I'm not yet experienced enough to know it's occurring. I do hear crackling sound sometimes, but I thought that was a good thing since brand new atty's tend to do that.
Thanks for the info on that.
