I've searched and searched and can't find the solution for this one:

This is strange. When I tighten my mini vivi nova to (both) my eGo-twist batteries fully (but not too tight of course) it won't make a connection, but if i loosen it, to the point where the vivi nova is wobbly it makes a connection and starts to hit. What am I missing here? Note: This would also happen occasionally with my Evod BCC. Thanks for any help you can offer!

I don't have the tank you are referring to but is the 510 pin on the tank spring loaded? What I'm thinking is that if you screw it down too much, it is pushing the pin flush with the male section and not creating contact. That is, there is no connection with the pin on your tank when screwed in tight. But when you unscrew it, the pin starts to protrude and make contact.

Just my uneducated guess with not ever used the tanks you have.

You should try tightening and loosening the screw on the Nova mini contact post. Sometimes just the mere centimeters can make a difference. I had the same problem with the full size Nova and tinkering with the contact Really helps

I had the same issue with a Kanger E-Huge a few months back. If you snugged the tank on, it wouldn't fire, but when I backed it off the slightest bit....no problems.
