I've seen this as a growing theme, is really that big of a deal?

As I've spent time on this forum I've noticed you guys don't particularly like it when people don't allow you to vape indoors or at events and such, now I understand why this a annoyance and why alot of it has to with miss education on the matter.
but let me play devils advocate here for a moment, if you were smoking analogs you would have to go outside and be beholdent to the same rules regardless so why not just follow the rules if you want your hit of nicotine? I've also noticed that alot of people like to stealth vape and sure if you can get away with it go for it but I've seen alot of people talking about vaping in places like museums and have seen videos on youtube of people vaping in places like hospitals, there is a ban on these types of things in these places for a reason, specific humidities and temperatures have to be maintained for for peoples safety and to preserve things so by releasing vapor in to the air you are messing with that so why not be a bit more respectful in that regard.

I have a feeling I'm going to get some hate for this but I felt I needed to get this out there.

I'm perplexed as well. Can't get through a flight without vaping? What did you do when you smoked? Need to vape in Walmart? How did you manage to shop when you smoked? And so on. I smoked for a long time, from when everyone smoked everywhere through many years when you couldn't smoke anywhere. I'm delighted I can vape in my own house and my own car. It's been so long since one could smoke just about anywhere I don't even think about vaping when I'm out and about. Of course, that's just me. And apparently screwball.

It's not analogs, it's not smoking, I will exercise my disobedience.

For my part I don't vape anywhere I would not have smoked, and certainly not in any public place where it's not allowed explicitly. I think that's true for most of us. So, you needed to get this out there... why?

Let me tell you what I've seen a lot of. People with suspiciously young accounts bringing up straw-man issues construed to make vapers look bad, stirring the pot, and seeking to divide us against each other here so as to cut some out from the herd and get us fighting among ourselves. I see a lot of that lately. I've not seen what you claim to have seen.

The reason is because if you 'follow the rules' then the bans seem reasonable. I'm not talking about nicotine, I'm talking about pure behavior. Lets do an exercise. Replace vaping with something else many people find offensive. Two men, obviously a couple, doing that couple thing with their arms around each other. Lets call this 'xixing'.

Now, xixing makes a lot of people uncomfortable. Some people will even cover their children's eyes, call for the cops, scream and carry on like they've had battery acid dumped on them. Xixing is illegal in many places in the world. It can even get you executed by certain governments. However, since the 1970's, when people rioted over such restrictions in New York, most folks have gotten used to xixing. They've been exposed to xixing enough it's not as big a deal. Sure xixing might even be illegal in some places, but no one cares anymore. That's because xixists refused to hide and cater to anti-xixists.

That is the point behind not hiding vaping. If xixists had continued to hide, the practice would still be illegal, even here in the US. But because xixists refused to stay in the closet and not offend anyone with xixing in public, the public became desensitized to the practice to the point where most anti-xixists are now considered freaks and weirdos.

See what happens when you replace a loaded term with place holder? One of my favorite essays of all time is Douglas Hofstadter - Person Paper on Purity in Language

If you want an even more gruesome picture to modern eyes, think about the anti-miscegenation laws.

I am always discreet, that's why.

Also, it takes about 40-45 minutes of vaping to get the same effect as smoking 1 cig, so I am vaping 18 hours a day.

Lol what are you using, Blu? Yeah I don't think anyone would care about a little puff of something like that.

I however run my Reo at .4 ohms with a modified Trident on it. Simply put, there is no such thing as stealth vaping for me. I don't do it in grocery stores or indoor public places because it either is or isn't allowed, I don't do it because I would be uncomfortable attracting that much attention to myself. Adding to that, there is enough vapor to make people worried that there is a fire or something under the wrong circumstances.

I'll keep it outside, out of crowds thank you. I don't like to share

hey now, dont talk about things you dont actually want to see

I actually work as IT in a office

That begs the question of who's IT office. Well sir, if you find vapers so annoying that you have to post here attacking us, perhaps you aren't in the right place here. You really do seem to have it in for us. Not at all unlike certain others posting anti-vaper threads here.

Tell me, do you even vape, or are you just here with a certain agenda?

Right, as a vaper myself I'm clearly out to get you. paranoid much? I'm simply stating why not use some courtesy as human being untill we can get people more educated on the topic. tell me how many times have people assumed that vapor is as hazardous as smoke.
