How many people have you seen vaping in public (if any)?

I saw my first 3 in the wild vapers in the span of 2 weeks. The first two I spotted at popular museum in St. Louis when we were vacationing. My son spotted them and told them they shouldnt be doing that, and told him it was an ecig and it was okay. i tried to start a conversation with them, but they didn't seem to want to talk. They did say that nobody had given then a hard time for vaping.

The first in my area I just saw earlier today. I was driving to the gym and vaping and the person in front of me stuck their ecig out of the window and waved it at me. I was so excited! I stuck mine up and waved it back. :)

I'm in the Bay Area (in between San Francisco and Sacramento). I've seen vapers in the bar I frequent, and in a barber shop and the tapioca teahouse next door - and that's only because within the barber lounge is a vape shop, and both employees and patrons of both the barber shop/vape shop and teahouse patronize each others' business. If that makes any sense.

I've also seen vapers in an Applebees at the bar area. I asked the bartender if it was okay for me to vape and she gave me permission on the condition that I stop if a customer complained (it is a family restaurant, after all), but since it was late and there were only a few restaurantgoers besides the dozen or so of us at the bar it wasn't an issue. I realized I was the first and only one to ask about vaping because after I took mine out and took a few puffs I noticed a few grown men around me starting to do the same. Lol. Sometimes it just takes a simple request for permission.

Ive seen a handful around here on camp pendleton and two last night out at the oceanside pier.... both seemed to be nervous about stealthing a hit on the pier with the no smoking signs.... didnt have time to flash my twist before they both turned around.
I guess you see more when you're looking for them.... like noticing yiur make and model of car everywhere after getting it....

At the casinos here they have a smoking and non smoking area. Haven't been for a while so maybe it's changed. I don't see many, but I use an ego or vamo v3 in public. I don't look for reactions anymore, just vape away. I find indoors like a store or mall uncomfortable. Outside no problems. I will vape in the airport the next time I fly somewhere just for the hell of it, but keep the clouds down to a minimum.

In NYC, I've really only seen cigarette-like devices, and not more than about three times. Makes me hesitant to whip out my ZMAX in public. While I was on vacation in New Hampshire, I saw a guy with an Ego / Evod though. I wanted to give him ye olde brofist.

LOL!!!
It wasn't me...but I wish it WAS!!
I'm just east of Concord....not exactly the State's tourist Mecca...!;)

Los Angeles
About a year ago, I was at Staples Center, home of the Lakers and Kings, vapping away, and an usher came up and said that I couldn't smoke in the Staples Center! I explained that it was an e-cig, and that I wasn't smoking, and she obviously had never seen anyone vapping! I was pretty surprised, considering the thousands of people who attend events at Staples!

Now, in the last few months, I'm seeing more and more people here in Los Angeles vap. I was at Fry's Electronics yesterday, vapping like I generally do (I'm not obnoxious about it, but hey... it ISN'T smoking, and there are no laws yet against vapping, so I vape pretty much everywhere) and the sales guy asked me what juice I was vapping, that is smelled good!

He then whipped out his device, and told me that his manager was really into vapping.

I've begun to see quite a few people around Los Angeles and Bevery Hills vapping in the past six months or so but before that, they were as visible as the loch ness monster!

I found it strange how few people I saw, the first two or three years of my vapping, considering how large of a city Los Angeles is!

A LOT of new B & M stores opening up here, as well.

Austin TX, seen quite a few in bars, and clubs. Still a rare sighting, but more and more. I got turned onto the whole idea by a friend of a friend who was vaping a cigalike at a bar, while I have analog in hand. Since then, traveling through Texas, I see mostly ego users, with the rare mod user. I pull out my Diablo clone and love the attention, while my boyfriend is coming around finally to valine in public with his ego set up. He started originally with a cig a like set up I gave him, because he wanted to quit, but didn't want attention or "shame. " but my enthusiasm has made him less insecure or self aware of his "difference" and the convenience of an ego with a divide galssomizer on it beats the drippy, leaky, cartomiser and cheap ce3 experience any day.

Forgive misspellings and forced word replacements, typing from my phone :-(, I am not ignorant, nor uneducated.

I live in Woodlawn, TN, which is about a stone's throw from Clarksville, which is where I work. I've only ever seen two other people vaping that I didn't know, both at the mall (I work in the mall).

The first was a girl who had a standard Ego with a clearo. I didn't say anything to her because I was fairly new to vaping at the time and I couldn't tell you the difference between an Ego and a cigalike.

The second time was while I was working. I was new to mods at the time and everything looked like a Vamo to me...so when somebody walked in front of my workplace vaping on his gigantic device, I blindly yelled "Hey! Is that a Vamo??"..."No man, this is from Hawaii" then I said "Oh...then it's the Lavatube?" He seemed kinda hostile towards me (not wanting to talk about it, etc.) but that may have just been because I was a complete noob when it came to e-cig knowledge.

On a related note, it was kind of nice seeing him blow clouds of vapor in my manager's face as she rung up their order.

Saturday night I went to a crappy concert in a club nearby and a beautiful black girl approached me smiling and holding the same evod / ego configuration like the one I was vaping with. Then we kind of "crossed swords" as we bumped our e-cigs and she went away. My girl got pretty upset since she was right next to me when this happened lol

I haven't seen anyone vaping in West Palm Beach, FL. - but I didn't even know what vaping was until a few weeks ago. I don't even see many people smoking now. The anti smoking laws and the social norms kept most of us smokers on the sly. I guess I will vape the same way I smoked - also on the sly - who wants to get a dirty look and yelled at?
