I've settled on a coil.

So, after about a year of trying just about every coil and build I could find/think of, it just occurred to me that I've settled into using only one coil for the last couple of months and have no desire to change it up now, it's the best (for me). It's a single braided coil, four wraps around a 3/32 bit, gives me around .6/.7 ohms. I use four strands of 32 gauge kanthal, twisted until it snaps. This sucker is durable. I bet I could use a single coil for a year. Braided coil chucks the vapor too. There it is.

Good to hear you've found what works for you :thumb:. I never really experimented with too many different coil builds. A couple of dozen different variations of single and dual coil single wire setups did it for me. Settled on dual coils of 27 gauge Kanthal at around 0.45 ohms in small RDAs. Preferably on a bottom feeder :)

vape on :vapor:

First and only thing I've ever successfully used has been triple twisted 32 gauge. Had 100 feet of it and was too poor to buy more/different at b&m and too impatient to wait for the mail the day I got my kayfun & rda. why haven't I tried something else? Why eff around when what you got tastes great and chucks vapor. Tried 4 strands and it was just too springy for decent wrapping for me, even with torching the crap out of it.

What I do is take two wing span pieces of 32 gauge, double both strands over together and twist. It is a little springy when trying to install the coil, but once it's done it'll go for months.
