2 days ago I started using the new Atlantis tank on an IVP 2s set at 7 watts. Previously I've been using a Nautilis mini on a Spinner 2. Can I use the Spinner 2 to power the Atlantis?

It's time for me to learn the in's and out's of ohm's law but can't find the forum's link at the moment. Help with that would be appreciated.

When the IVP 2S is set to 7 watts the digital display indicates 2.0 volts and .5 ohm. At that setting the Atlantis seems like a beast compared to the mini and is sucking up the juice impressively fast. My impression, possibly wrong, is the Atlantis produces more vapor for a given amount of power compared to the mini. Is that possible?

I have not used the Atlantis but a .5 build at 7 watts is pretty weak, for me. On my drippers I'll be pushing 25-35 watts, at least. 2 volts is less voltage that the lowest setting on a Vision Spinner II battery. It's all personal preference and different juices will work better at different wattages. I would suggest trying to increase the wattage and play with it, to see how it works and what you like. In the end, use the setting that works best for you. That's the point.

Enjoy!

The IPV V2 does not have step down voltage regulation, anything below 4volts it just dumps what is available in the battery, so you are probably pushing at least 4.2 volts on a fresh charge, decreasing as the battery drain like a mechanical. So maybe bump your watts up to where you are at 4volts output on the IPV/Atlantis combo. The Spinner 2 with the Atlantis, no way, anything below 1.5ohms on a Spinner is a big no, no, no, to much amp drain, the spinner got a 2.5 to 3 amp limit on its switch and it will error out on you most likely.

Thanks for the feedback. I set the watts on the ivp 2s at the lowest possible setting, 7 watts, to see what that experience would be and found I was getting all the vapor I needed for the situation I was in.

Is there any harm in powering the atlantis .5 ohm coil at 7 watts? I've been assuming that the lower the power setting the longer the battery will last and that's desirable when I'm out for the day and don't have ready access to charging. Also I'm using 1.2 nic at the moment because it's what I have and if I vape that at high watts the nic rush is too intense.

ISP 2S readouts are
7 watts 2.0 V.
20 watts 3.2 V,
30 watts 4.1V
40 watts 4.8 V
60 watts 6.0 V.

You suggested the 2.0 V at 7 watts might not be an accurate voltage reading? I need to read up on the electrical issues.

Thanks leeky, that's what I was looking for. I was cautious enough to not try it without some guidance first. The protection circuit on the spinner probably would have worked but...

So here is another safety related question. I''m using the ivp 2s while it is charging even though the documentation recommends against that. My vape retailer speculates that might overheat the battery? Every other usb device I own can be used while it is charging. If this device is different I'd like to understand why. Does anyone know about this?

BTW, at 30 watts the vapor from the atlantis seems cooler than at 7 watts. Could that be an accurate perception? I love what I'm getting from the atlantis. My N mini is getting lonely.
