From what I have personally seen, they are precisely custom cut and fit for particular mods and so, they don't interfere with the function at all. If your mod has texture, fluting, cuts or divots, the wrap will cover those, but is stiff enough that it doesn't "crease into" the fluting.

As far as durability? It's a vinyl wrap which is less "durable" than say stainless steel is. But a layer of protection like a wrap means that a scratch event is more likely to take out its wrath on the vinyl and at least provide a level of mar-protection to the metal.

I've actually got my eye on a woodgrain wrap for my Sigelei Zmax V3 Telescope. The mods that I have seen with that particular wrap look AWESOME.

They work great. I have several of them.
That way I can tell what juice I'm using, fruit, tobacco, sweet, etc, other wise everything is stainlees and protank, and I have to label it !
They can be removed with no problem, and they save wear and tear on the mod it'self.
Just make sure you get the one for your style mod.
Make sure it's lined up, and it's a snap.
