My second Jac arrived today! I had ordered it on Black Friday, so 12 days in transit. My Vapor Skinz for Jac #1 arrived yesterday. Even though it's not perfectly applied, I like it. My Sandstorm shipped yesterday, so I should have it before Christmas. I'm done until next year...

Hey Jacs and Jackies, I wonder does anyone know what material the battery door is made of? I did a google search but couldn’t easily find a definite answer. My finish is all blotchy (apparently a reaction from my skin chemistry?) so I was thinking I’d paint it but before I do I was hoping to find out exactly what I’m painting.

I'd probably recommend emailing them, Rain, to be safe. They'll tell you. They told Kat, but that quite a while ago, and I've forgotten (no surprise). :|

She had the same issue (hence the wraps).

@Jingles - I did each of mine a few times before they were perfect. Is the cut bad, or did you just apply it "off"? They're pretty forgiving (within reason) if you want to re-apply it.

Mine is straight worn off, not patina. The issue has been observed by others and acknowledged by JV. I would have liked patina  No biggie, I’m just hoping to paint it instead.
Yep, that's a horse of a different color. And you're right, painting it is a cinch. If I had to guess I'd say it was made of stainless steel.

Yikes, I'm sorry, but actually I don't recall what material it is either, (Rain). Mine got blotchy as well, and we spent many an email trying to decide if it was the pH in my skin (and that of about 6 others at the time) causing this.

It just very well may be. I also wear off the letters on every single keyboard I've ever owned. (No, not from finger nails.)

could anyone suggest a skin that'll fit? had a look around but not seeing anything definite (though i've never used a skin/cover before so not entirely sure what to look for). ta.

Yes, abstolutely, lupine. Take a look at VaporSkinz wraps. Vapor Mods Skins Decals Wraps | Vapor Skinz

You'll select the wrap you like, then scroll down for the drop down box for the Jac.

Their work is tremendous and the cuts have always been simply outstanding. GREAT CS as well.

I think I just applied it a little "off". We're talking a mm. or two. It meets up perfect on one side. Onthe other side there is a tiny gap. I think I will just live with it as is. Not sure I could do any better if I tried reapplying it.

a wee barbados number in matte finish has been gotten thanks @Katdarling

Pics, please! :D

I really do like and appreciate VaporSkinz. Their quality is amazing, and they are consistent, too.

Congrats, lupine!
