well darn.. just as i navigated thru the TC menu and set it all up i realized, the crown 3, .4 ohm coils are kanthal.
not the .24 or .15's.. just the .4's!!

so why can't kanthal be used in tc?
i threw the box away and just happened to come across a post about them being kanthal.

can the NRG .15 coils be used in TC?

just want to update for correct info. the crown 3 coils are ss316, the ones that were sold on fasttech were kanthal.

So i'm back to trying TC! And now that i know the NRG coils are kanthal, that explains why my vape was too hot even at 370 watts. I have it set right now at 400 and it's not hot.

fwiw even the official Crown coils that are listed as ss316 (0.25/0.5) are, if theyre like all the previous Crown coil series generations, hybrid coils, nr-r-nr or in other words kanthal-ss316-kanthal, or even simpler ss316 with welded kanthal header wire on each end....this has meant you had to monkey with tc settings in the past to find the right spot

I don't DL much any more but this is warm and tasty to me.

Did you get a tracking number from them? If so, just plug it into USPS tracking.

USPS Tracking®

Try putting the shipping tracking # from your ship email in box at RoyalMail.com! If it’s already in the states there is a link that will let you track it the rest of the way using USPS as mine was handed off to USPS from Royal Mail. I ordered mine on 12/18 and they shipped the next day - it arrived in the US (New York) on 12/26 but they held it for about 5 days - finally sent on to NJ and it sat there another few days - it was finally passed to USPS and I FINALLY got it yesterday! I actually came on here to tell you all how much I already love it! Also that it does feel great and yes, soooo nice & heavy! I could not weigh it against my Hcigar vt75 nano becuz it had battery cap AND 510 plate issues with threads, so only got to use it for 5 months, but my eleaf pico 75 watt weighs 4.8oz (with exact same battery in) and my new Jac Vapour dna75 (22mm) weighs 5.9oz - again with exact same battery in! And while the eleaf pico 75 is a great mod and has been very reliable especially compared to Hcigar vt75 nano, there is NO comparison IMO to the Jacvapour, in any respect: talking looks, ease of use, quality, and PERFORMANCE so far!! I mainly used my Hcigar nano on wattage but performance with the chip makes HUGE difference, which is why I ordered another evolve dna75 chip device - even if never use on temp control, there IS a big difference with mod with the chip! Sorry if tmi, just loving it so much!! Think I will try this baby on temp control, too!

now that i found the right place...

have ya'll seen this?
the wasp with the Jac!

I’ve never dripped, nor been interested in dripping, but this video makes me want to change my mind, but I’m not gonna do it. I already have too much e-liquid I have not used, and too much equipment, too! Nice look-see at the Jac though. Have used mine ever since I got it and still loving it!! Nice smooth vaping with my Svoemesto Kfm v3!! The wonderful performance of this mod sure does effect the vape!

yes this video got me interested in dripping.. if for nothiing else, to test new flavors i get after large purchases from holiday sales! And now i know that you can buy prebuilt coils really cheap. Fast take has stainless steel 316 50 premade coils for less than $3... that wasp nano is only like $11 at fast tech too... so less than $15 plus a few dollars for cotton! it's got me rethinking this whole rda business.

Just a word of caution on dripping...you might not go back to your tanks again....:p

that's what i'm afraid of.
i just since thanksgiving acquired a good stock on tanks. 3 og's crown, 3 crown 3's, 3 tanks that take nrg coils.

what i didn't think of, was the freakin expense of being stocked in coils! and when trying new juice.. it's like is it my coil that needs to be changed or does this juice just taste bad.

i watched a video or two on the dead rabbit, and they make it look so easy...
and then i watched a video about a rta called wake.. and man they make it look much easier than it was a few years ago.

i think the last thing i tried to build was on a sophia v2... and yeah, that's small to work with. and i had a good run with building on the kayfun version something who remembers so many numbers ago.. but every time i got in the car, that thing would just explode with leakage. and i would stop and buy cigarettes.

I did a lot of dripping simply because the flavor was better. But there are some nice tanks these days that IMO are just as flavorful as dripping. It started with the Kayfun Mini V3 for me.

Same here, Bronze. May be my taste buds aren't as sharp as other folks, but the convenience of a good drop in coil tank beats having to drip and carry a bottle everywhere I go, IMHO.

Convenience matters. And when it also means quality it is even more attractive.

Yeah what I should've said is dripping makes one look at SOME tanks differently..:p
When I started out with my little Derringer, I was blown away how muted some of my tanks were. Now that I have the Achilles a while, the tobacco flavour is actually to intense. It sometimes leaves an after taste that lingers for a while in my mouth...
I do still love my tanks, but whenever I have some quality downtime, I reach for the drippers...for me its the pinnacle of vaping. When I'm on the move again I grab the tank again.
Agree on the KF V3 @Bronze. I still use mine. Its the first tank I really connected with. Don't think i'll ever be able to completely let it go. I have 3 of the 4 air holes blocked with toothpicks...air is just right for me that way..:thumb:

I have three Achilles. Used them near exclusively for awhile. Now they just look pretty on my vape station. I wipe the dust off them once in awhile. :)
