I'm so glad I'm a wattage vaper.

Me too! 90% of the time I just take the default and vape away. The few times with several mods I've gotten away from the defaults it took me hours to get out of whatever mode I was in. Most of these things are past my intelligence level.

My dani box is in temp mode. I've been able to make it do MANY things.... Except EXIT temp mode.

I really have had to up my game with menu systems honestly because I got tired of the husband and kid making fun of me and going "It's just a menu system." I can make a lot of mods to a lot of things... now.

But this one is GERMAN!!! Curses. I guess the Jaq B is Scottish or something? Equally pigheaded, like I will make you wear a kilt before giving up my secrets?

Yah know I'm in the wrong thread and I will Get There but if anyone knows, for the love of god Sa t Something. I'm not the biggest fan of a card that says your instruction manual is posted: here.

That ALWAYS means, too many instructions.

I shalln't post you a manual, yah? ;)

Click the "up" button 4 times (Hctrl). When it lights up, switch it to 0 (zero). Let it go dim by itself and you'll be in power mode.

Easy sleazy.

Help! One of the two JACs I received this morning has something terribly wrong with it!

Here is the story: I stuck a battery in it (a good one, in good condition) and when it turned on it was in wattage mode as it was supposed to be. As I was lowering the wattage to where I wanted it, I noticed that instead of going down in .1W increments, it was going down .5W at a time. Huh, thought I, as yet unworried. Took a hit and got a mouthful of extremely hot and nasty vapor. Looked at the screen and saw the device had switched to temperature mode. Went back to wattage mode, but as soon as I hit the fire button, the device reverted to temp mode. After repeating this process, I shut the thing down. Checked that the second JAC in the delivery was okay (it is) and came here, extremely peeved.

Thoughts?

I'd connect to escribe and see if the latest firmware is installed on both mods, then check what the settings are set to.

Something's not right, Zazie. I'd contact them immediately.

Let us know too, if you wouldn't mind.

Oh, don't worry, @DPLongo22. I'll be here kvetching away, I have no doubt, especially if (when) they respond to the message I sent them an hour or so ago with the news that there's nothing to be done and I have to pay the return postage. They should just give me my money back and let me keep the thing. I'm sure I could find something to store in the battery compartment.

Oh, I know they'll take care of it somehow. I just begrudge the postage.
I'd send Jac a video of it jumping in .5 increments.
They will most likely send another, tell you to keep the bad one.
Send the bad one to Evolve for a board replacement, and you will have an extra one for the $7 postage...:thumb:
    Keep us posted.
